a Kenny update

Kenny is out of surgery and everything went well. They will be at the hospital for several days yet, at the very least through Monday.  Really really good news is that his stomach is still doing at least a little bit of digestion, just not enough to keep them alive, so the family will be able to continue to give him small amounts of food by mouth

Just talked with Dr. G - one of the hospitalists that knows Kenny. WE figured out the long-term nutrition trial. What Kenny will take initially will proabably be low-density stuff, but that's for the GI folk to order. Feeding on Sunday as a start, and in hospital with experts around if things are sour. A plan begins to emerge, and it pretty much makes sense to me. What a different day today is compared to yesterday!

Thanks for the update. I'd been wondering how he was doing. And I'm glad there's good news! Thanks also for the chicken soup. All 3 of us enjoyed it.
