Today was a day in which the mountains of knots in my back got soothed out by white_lab_rat  and my body journeyed up into the mountains of Colorado, where I spent the afternoon with my mother, listening to female vocalists on the car stereo and staring at the beauty of the Rockies.

In town, where we had stopped for lunch, there were elk wandering around,

By New Year's Day I will have been able, I think, to say a prayer and put some things, at least, in a box under the bed, with a lavendar sachet and a beautiful bow holding the box shut, just to show that there are no hard feelings.
