Hi, LJ. It's been ages, I know, but the good news is, I'm doing a bit better concerning my senioritis & time management, which means, LJ quality time! A proper update is on the horizon, but for now, I have three weeks' worth of my show to get off my chest, so bear with me. :D
I've contemplated doing a separate reaction post for "Lineage" since it's

No, really, Revenge sometimes gets heat for having too damn many storylines going on at the same time, but I personally like to think of it as my show betting on its viewers attention span. ;)
I loved the Marco backstory; it shows so much of what Nolan cares about- he doesn't even know Emily then, he hasn't seen her father in years, but he values loyalty so much...Goodness, YES. The scene where he fires Marco was such an obvious clash of Nolan & Marco's values. Nolan expects full understanding & support from the person he loves NO MATTER WHAT because that is the way he HIMSELF is. If something is important to the person he cares about, he will give it the benefit of the doubt. Marco, at the same time, was shocked & angry at Nolan for keeping something so big from him b/c he expected ( ... )

Dude. I had literally the EXACT same thought. Not to get off on a total tangent, but I've always found Regina's backstory a little flimsy in terms of justifying her current actions, and my reaction to this flashback was literally "See OUAT? THAT'S how you do a backstory for a villain!" Creepy, amazing stuff.

tl;dr: When Cora gets to Storybrooke, I WANT THIS EPISODE FOR CORA AND REGINA.

I think your understanding of this show's characters and their relationships is very deep.
Thanks! This show has many complex characters, and it's always fun to try & see the motivations behind their actions - and discuss our different takes on them - before the answers are spelled out for us on screen (as in Conrad's reasoning for why it had to be DAVID).
No matter how much she can feel for him, just remember how much time she needed to start, only start, trusting Nolan, someone who had never betrayed or hurt her before, opposite to what Aiden had done.Yes, that's a very good point. I also keep remembering how it took Nolan a season of coming through for Emily for her to be able to open up to him. And they also not only shared history, but also the person wronged by their common enemy they wanted to avenge. I keep thinking that maybe Emily DID learn Takeda's lesson, after all, and should Aiden decide to use the infinity box for his own gain, he'll find there a bunch of fishing ( ... )

First of all, once again, Nolan poses here as her full-fledged partner who isn't just going to sit there & take orders - he has every right to make decisions for himself - which is the evolution of what their relationship once used to be that I'm always pleased to see reinforced.
Yes, yes, YES to this. YEEEEP.
AS IN EMILY >>> EVERYONE & EVERYTHING ELSE ALWAYS EVEN THEN, BE STILL MY NEMILY HEART
I was screaming this at my TV. God. His company is so important to him, his LIFE'S WORK, an yet he's willing to put it in danger for Emily, now and in the past.
I have to say, it's interesting that Nolan refers to Emily as his only friend when we know he also has Jack. Seems that deep inside, it all comes down to Emily being his one true friend, and he misses her. Another thing I noticed! I think it comes down to what I always feel about this ship - she is the only friend who REALLY gets him, because she's the only one who knows about his relationship to David, which shapes so much of who ( ... )

It's also interesting to see the contrast in his motivations for it 6 years ago & now. Back then, it really WAS because Emily was David's daughter & he meant so much to him. Now, it's because Ems is his FAMILY. That's... beautiful. :')

AGREED. They're bound for life by their love for David, and that's the kind of connection Aiden - or anyone else, including her mother b/c WHM! - will never be able to give Emily, no matter how similar their circumstances are.
He's more than a match for Aiden, in his own way, and that scene was excellent.
YES. Wrong, I know, but I keep hoping Aiden will end up a baddie JUST so Nolan could make good on that threat & his improved boxing/karate skills on him. ;)
I just like seeing ( ... )

Nolan and Marco had so much chemistry. I'm super-intrigued by that storyline and I just really love how honest and open the show continues to be with Nolan's sexuality. They get gold stars and high marks and puppy kisses.
And, of course, Nolan and Emily's mutual affection! So beautiful. They're totally my hopeful endgame for the show but I don't mind if they play around with other people first.
ETA: And, yes! So happy that they haven't thrown Fauxmanda and Jack's relationship under the bus (or off that balcony).

Brilliant, isn't it. Makes me very proud to be a fan. I have a feeling the Nolan/Marco storyline will end up among my season favourites!

Me neither! In my headcanon, they eventually realise that they'll never find in other people what they have in each other, so I'm interested watching them reach that conclusion. ;)

Hee! I see what you did there. I never expected them to take that relationship this far! I still hope it won't end with the death ( ... )

I LOVED THIS SO MUCH! I love that we are finally seeing Emily being concerned for Nolan and trying to keep him safe. I'm still not over the "he's mine" (concern) convo she had with Aiden but seeing this scene with her seeking Nolan out & storming into his office made me very happy.
My soul was crying for Nolan here b/c he loved Marco enough to tell him the truth, but didn’t give him enough time to take the information in,...
Same here! I actually really loved Marco & Nolan together but was so interesting to see him just cut him out so quickly because of David/Emily.
For now, we got them all dressed up & precious & talking to each other in that intimate way again as only they do:They looked very hot together as always! I love that they always have to stand thisclose to each other when talking. Personal space does not exist for them tbh. I also adored that both were there ( ... )

I see what you did there, lol. I love Emily being worried for Nolan too. I keep wishing for her to take more interest in his life, ask him how HE is doing, and this is a good start.
Marco gets even more hate than Padma because of giving up NolCorp to Dan, but I still hope for Nolan/Marco reconciliation.
I also adored that both were there with their own dates but as always they just can't stay away from each other too long when in the same vicinity.
YES, they're like, "There's too much space between us. We need to do something about that." I love them.
I actually secretly hope they'll dance at Jack/Fauxmanda's wedding. #ProbablyNot /o\
Aw at Nolan seeing Emily as his only friend. That surprised me because surely I thought he counted Jack as his friend by now. But imo he probably meant his true real friend which just goes to show how much he values his relationship with Emily, to name her as his only friend? That's just adorable in my book. I loved that line so ( ... )
