I was supposed to turn 38 right after the new millennium, but I should look at the bright side that I'm not almost 50 this year, I guess. Where do the years go?

Anyway, considering I completely missed out on Y2K and all that, what did everyone else do to celebrate the year 2000? Or the closest "big" new year for everyone who either doesn't ( Read more... )

You should've been 38 in 2000? Dude, I would only have been about 16. Weird.

Yep, I was born in '84. Whih makes you... '62, right? And come on, don't be like that, you're not actually that old!

Yup. I guess considering there's eleven years of my life that just... Don't exist, I should start saying I was born in '73, huh? And I might not actually be that old, but after this last year, I sure as hell feel like I should be on my death bed by now.

I breathed a sigh of relief the year 2000 problem didn't manifest.

So there were no missiles firing in all directions and every computer in the world didn't fail? I'm kinda disappointed.

I can categorically state that not every computer in the world failed.

I think I didn't really notice when it ticked over to 2000, except to double check that my computer and my equipment was all still working. But just think, next year we can go through the same procedure of not caring that the apocalypse is supposed to happen again.

At least I won't miss both major apocalyptic scares that I wasn't a cause of. Sounds like fun, sitting around not giving a fuck if the world ends.

I suppose that's why most people spend the time drunk. I'm looking forward to sitting around and not giving a fuck with you, actually.

Sounds like a brilliant use of everyone's final minutes. And I'm looking forward to it too. I've certainly have had worse company for the other apocalypses.

38 is not that old.

I went out with some friends but we aren't legal to drink.

I'm really supposed to be 11 years older based on the year I was born. But then I'm also supposed to be dead, so I'll deal.

Sounds like a fun night. Hope you didn't do anything I wouldn't do. ...Or anything I would do.

Wait..dead? How so?

No, we were pretty tame.

Well, I was technically shot to death in reality, but someone worldhopped me out of there before that happened.

Good to hear.

Very little of note happened here in 2000, surprisingly enough. Only Umbrella continuing to monitor the remains of Raccoon. You didn't miss much.

People actually still give a shit about that glorified crater?

They wanted to keep an eye on it in case of life-forms still persisting there. It's long since been abandoned, of course.

Life-forms? ...There isn't a chance I - for some definition of I - survived, is there?
