Can someone tell me what this site is for, please? I wanted to figure it out for myself, but the stuff some people were saying was kind of...weird and not really clear.
[blinks, obviously not expecting that response.] You don't know?
[he watches the newly chosen door with a mix of eagerness and trepidation. there could be anything behind it, from one of those monsters to an alternate way back, even his own home. anticipation quickly gets the better of him.] Where's 'here'?
Nope! Not a clue. [He's cheerful, as he doesn't really care.] The Earl of Millennium might know exactly, but I've never asked him.
[He reaches out and opens the door, but there's no hint of why lies behind it. All they can see is blackness. Tyki holds his hand out towards Edgeworth] Hold my hand tight as we go through.
[Miles pulls back from the man a few steps, momentarily forgetting his fear of the monsters around them in the face of whatever terrors might be waiting in that blackness. his polite tone does nothing to hide his nervousness.]

[Tyki glances at him, lips curving] Through that door, or you can go back on your own. If you can find the right door and get it to listen to you, that is.
But honestly, Miles, I promise you'll love this. Just so long as you don't let go of my hand.
[he strongly doubts that, but this mystery man is more right than the boy would care to admit. as far as he can see, the only way out of this situation is whichever way he's lead. rubbing his arm, he glances back in the direction they came from, then steps forward and hesitantly takes the man's hand.]

[Tyki gives Miles' hand a squeeze and offers him a smile, then steps forward boldly to the blackness. It swallows them up totally, then clears to reveal a white landscape, pockmarked with craters. In the sky, a huge planet earth hangs. The gravity is lighter here, and so long as Edgeworth stays close, he'll remain within the bubble of air that Tyki brought with them.]
[what he thinks, he can't articulate at first. it's doubtful whether he could even articulate it if he was his normal self. like this, inexperienced and still years from growing up and becoming jaded, all he can do is stare, open-mouthed, at the jewel floating far above them.]
[after what seems like an infinite silence, he turns to survey the sterile, white surface surrounding them and the inky blackness beyond. when he turns back to his companion, all the obvious evidence of fear is gone.]
This is...awesome. [the word is used reverently, clearly in a very different context from the slang way the boy might normally use it.] Where else can it go, um...Mr. Marquise. What else can it do?
[Tyki beams, pleased that his treat was received well. Miles can be so very stubborn sometimes, but he'd gotten him here in the end, and he's appropriately awed at the chance to stand on the moon and look up at the Earth without even the need for a space suit.]
It can go anywhere you can imagine, I'd say. Any of the worlds connected to the community, that's for sure. And any time, also.
Um... [he chews at his bottom lip a bit and lets his gaze drift around the scenery again. when one is offered the universe, choosing one destination is difficult, especially when one is a fairly imaginative young boy.]
[hesitantly] I don't know what the other worlds are like, so I guess... Can we see someplace with aliens?
[the apparent 'compliment' doesn't earn the gratitude it might have been meant to. it isn't the first time Miles has been called stuffy, and he shoots a warning glare at the man's back as they walk.] I don't see anything wrong with being stuffy. Most people I know aren't stuffy enough.
[just before they pass through the door, he pauses to take one last look around, trying his best to memorize everything he's seeing.]
[Miles hurriedly pulls his hand back once they reach the relative safety of the empty city.]
[indignantly] I have fun! [falls back a little, looking around at the buildings distractedly.] Just because some people can't see the fun in the stuff I like, doesn't mean I don't have fun doing it.

[He cocks his head] Do you have a request?

[He grins and heads back for the doorway, kicking up puffs of moon dust with each step. He's thinking hard. Aliens, eh?]
I think I can deliver up some aliens for you.

Still, you don't want to go through life without having any fun, right?

[dryly] My classmates seem to think it's more fun to get bad grades.
