I felt really bad for Bolin too. It's hard that both brothers like the same girl, but at least they've got it out in the open now and they've talked about it. Whatever happens, it's going to hurt one of them, but I don't think it'll destroy their relationship.
Agreed on the Ferrets crushing him. Honestly, I think Tahno looks creepy. Those eyes - very serpent-like.
I can see how you'd think that, but Asami seems like a nice girl to me. At least right now... There is something that makes me suspicious of her. Not necessarily that she's evil, just keeping a secret.
And, is it just me, or does Asami seem... slimy? I think she's more the kind of girl who'd be on Tahno's arm, even if her father is supporting the Ferrets for the tournament.
Idk. Asami really didn't do much this episode, so it's hard to tell. I think she probably is the type that could have been if she hadn't run into Mako though, but that doesn't necessarily make her slimy at this point. She's still just a rich fangirl to me.
I wish they'd have fleshed her out a little more though. I'd have liked at least a clue or two about what type of person she is.
I'm hoping that they'll flesh Asami out in a later episode. We have this introduction of her as a rich fangirl, but there's not much else we know about her. We don't even know her personality very well except through her interactions with Mako, which gives us a limited scope on her.
Poor Bolin, really poor guy - the heart-break scene made me feel very sad for him as well, but at the same time, I'm interested to see how Asami appears later on in the series. I feel that there is something that she's not telling, that she may seem a little bit off in terms of first meetings.
Or maybe I'm just being decieved by her character. In other news, can I ask you guys where you find and watch your Avatar episodes? I am unable to find a high quality area!

I watch the episodes when they air on TV. I know they get put up on Nick's website after a while and there are episodes online on various sites too. You just need to explore to find them in HD. Or watch on TV or Nick.com.
That's true, I am already eager for further episodes to see what comes of the situation between Asami and the potential she has to hide much more than what can be seen (Optimus Prime reference here? More to her than meets the eye).

I laughed when Bolin cried too, but I definitely wanted to hug him. He's just so melodramatic that it's impossible not to find him funny even when he's heartbroken. And yes, Pabu and Tenzin's family are the best ever. Jinora and Ikki's stories were so funny, and the way all three girls swooned at Pema's story. Hehe. I definitely found the Mako/Asami nose touch incredibly revolting, and I loved Korra and Bolin's reactions

I love the girls' reactions to Pema's story. So silly though I know I do the same sometimes when I hear romantic things... either that, or I get cynical. It's a toss-up between the two reactions.
I adored Korra and Bolin's reactions as well.
Drama = team failure. I'm glad we saw the relationship drama reflected in their fighting. Bolin going one-on-one was excellent though Korra's battle in the final round was my favorite fight this episode.
I'm excited to see the Wolfbats actually fight. We've got a great build-up to it; we know they're tough and dangerous from the way they sent their opponents away on stretchers. It's going to be quite the challenge for the Fire Ferrets. I'll be cheering for them harder than I normally do because we've seen Tahno and he's a jerk.
I've never read/seen Pride and Prejudice, but I agree about Bolin and Mako being like Xander and Angel. Though Bolin's much less of a jerk than Xander was and he's much more sympathetic.
I LOVED how Korra learned healing from Katara! I missed Korra whistling for Nagga! I gotta watch it again. I LOVE that Jenora was in this episode! She's my fave character next to Korra and Maco! Pabu is really awesome too!
*nods* Naga roaring at Tahno's face was definitely a highlight of the episode. A must-see moment.
Jinora is amazing. I'm still not sure which of Tenzin's kids I like most - I think it's either Jinora or Meelo but I'm not sure. Though Korra's my favorite overall. And Pabu, of course.
I know! I swear the fangirl in me squealed with joy at that scene! And she also said that Katara was the best at healing. I love the continuity there. Katara actually became the best healer, which suits her perfectly! :D
