Thoughts: That was...literary. It was good, though about halfway through I picked up on what was happening. There were things that happened, and places Shadow was put that HAD to happen, I see that, but it felt a little clunky in places? Oddly? But it was really good.

Thoughts: Very obviously slanted in certain ways, especially with the insistence that NONE OF THE KINGS WERE GAY, OKAY? NONE OF THEM. Which was disheartening. But whatevs. Engaging read, not too dry.

Thoughts: Dry and a little hard to get through because of the COPIOUS footnotes, but interesting. A perspective I had no idea about.

Title: The Cobra Event

Genre: mystery
Thoughts: It managed to turn my stomach and that takes some doing. The writing was chunky and strained but the story was solid. Could have used some better editing. Forced hint of romance was dumb. Overall C.
