Thoughts: The Fall of Gondolin is possibly one of my favorite tales of the First Age. There are a couple versions of it, one almost complete, with the death of Glorfindel and the battle of the city which was beautifully done. This is just a compendium of those stories and nothing really NEW. But still nice to have it all in one book and not broken up into the Histories like it was.
