I kind of miss the LJ community we had over here. Things went a bit slower, posts had more meat to them, people seemed more involved. Facebook is more fast-paced, shiny, lots of bits and "look at this meme" stuff, and I pretty much never keep up with it. The world revolves ever faster, and it gets harder and harder to find a good place to hold on.

Glad to see you're still here. I liken FB to be the loud club no one can talk at but very popular and LJ being the quiet corner pub with Norm at the bar. ;) Otherwise, yeah - sometimes it gets awful quiet in LJ Land.

I'm only over here occasionally, so many people have moved onto FB and off LJ. I should probably make a stronger effort to pay attention to both again. :)

This is why (well, one of the many reasons why) I'm not on the book of faces. I signed up for it back when it was still college-students only and it took a couple of hours to figure out how to delete that profile. The Lovely Wife is on that thinger, though, so I get to keep up with George Takei vicariously.

Yep, that's why I came wandering back a while ago. Sadly, almost everybody left, and I'm finding I don't have the time or energy to put into trying to meet new LJ friends. I'm hoping that will change. I miss what this used to be.
