Josie caught on to what a nifty lounge spot a basket of clean laundry is. Kiera had curled up in the basket and was all comfy, so Josie wanted to try it out, too. They were adorable for a few moments--at least until Kiera decided that she had dibs and wasn't going to share ( Read more... )

LLT, frederich and I have all been bad about getting our classes in, but I'm thinking the deadline was May 1? Are you still looking for classes?

May 1st is the deadline. I am waiting to hear about two tracks' worth of classes, but I still have about a dozen openings for one-hour classes beyond that. People got their information to me fairly quickly.

Question on University...how soon do you need proposals for classes? I am not sure I can make it yet (it, as so many other things, depends on how the Army decides to screw with us) I have a couple different things I could teach already prepared, and a couple I am working on...mostly beginning level scribal stuff.

May 1st is the deadline for class proposals. At the moment, I have limited each "major discipline" to a single track until I have all proposals in hand, and I have a track and a half's worth of C&I. It is pretty heavy on the illumination side, so I would appreciate having a calligraphy-oriented class if someone had one to offer.

What I was thinking of was either a class on "fixing boo-boo's" or one on knowing what to buy and what to not waste your money on when shopping for Illumination books....I *do* calligraphy....I just have never been able to figure out how to *teach* it on more than a one to one basis...

I have a lot of trouble teaching calligraphic technique as well. Go ahead and submit a class proposal--you can always cancel if you aren't able to make it.

The "what books to buy" might be good for a round table discussion (which has already been requested).
