I took the 15:00 bus from Zigong to Leshan I found out in line to get on the bus that there were two different routes to Leshan and when we got my ticket I paid extra for the nicer route. Dean was guessing that the bus would take about 3 hours. But it was 3 hours from Chengdu to Zigong and if you look on a map Leshan is between Zigong and Chengdu ( ( Read more... )

So we woke up and laughed about the guy at three in the morning, we ate or pastries that were creamy and a bit squished. Dean put on an episode of Knallerfrauen which is a German sketch comedy show. The bus to Zigong was going to take about three hours and we were taking the public bus to get to the bus station, which would take about an hour. So I left with Angeline and her mom at about 07:00, we had a baozi breakfast with soy milk like Angeline and I had the first day in Chengdu and then we got on the bus.

I woke up feeling much, much better. We decided to get breakfast at the XiPu station, but were a bit disappointed with the lack of options available to us when we got there. Angeline needed to go and visit her uncle in the morning, and we were very tired from all the running around we had done the previous night. So it was decided that we would relax in the morning and go out to see a tomb that was in the vicinity of Angeline’s place in the afternoon around 15:00.

We got up extra early since the Chengdu Panda Research Base was across the city. Angeline had dressed up for the day since she wanted to look good for the Pandas. The Giant Panda is her favourite animal. We ate breakfast at a restaurant that was near the bus stop (that was across the street from the usual bus stop that we used). I don’t know how common this is, but when I worked in Food Service before coming to China we use to talk about our own personal Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays mostly and to a lesser extent our own Hump Day Wednesdays and Thirsty Thursdays. And now I feel bad for Tuesday.
