Must say I absolutely loved this story and a sequel would be amazing. I think you did a great job of capturing both the personalities and emotions of the characters. Also, the ending was devastating and delightfully evil. Not the greatest/most helpful review but just thought you should know what a wonderful story you wrote.

Eep! So sorry I haven't gotten back to you sooner!! I did want to thank you for your lovely review though. I'm really glad you liked Dark Heart Silhouette - even more that you enjoyed the characterizations and emotions. I tend to focus on those things - what makes a person tick, what has made them the person they are today, why they make the decisions they do.

Your review was awesome!! It's just really nice to hear that people read and enjoy, especially as it's a labor of love on our (the author's) part :)

Thank you so much!! If you're interested in the sequel, when I get that written, I'll be posting it over at my fic archive, wench_islands.

Oh god no! Draco was heading for redemption, was he not? until Ginny stole Astoria away. I was convinced that this new magical bond between Astoria and Draco would lead to his aiding the scattered resistance. But now it is not to be.

Can you tell me please if Ginny had not turned up precisely at that moment would Draco and Astoria have had a much happier ending? or was it doomed from the start?

Draco was such an interesting character here. I could understand him all the way through - identifying with his reasoning and his mothers voice as his conscience, but I had hoped since he was reluctant in his place at Voldemorts side that it would all lead to a much happier resolve.

In truth, following Draco's reasoning from the beginning it isn't too hard to believe his choice in the end, but I'm still devastated at it. And you have left me with a burning need to follow Draco on his journey of revenge. (though I think it would be more complicated than that)

Congrats on an eff-ing good fic!

Hmmm. I will tell you that Draco is on a road to redemption, but like real life, it's never simple. What I've tried to take into account in this story is what happened to make them the people they became - to explain why they all made the decisions they did. No one was completely good, but no one was really completely bad either; everyone had reasons for what they were doing.

What I can say to answer your questions is that nothing is ever as it seems. Every one of the characters was hiding something and when the truth finally comes out, it'll change everything - again. Draco and Astoria are irrevocably tied together, and what that will mean for them, they don't really understand yet - this wasn't meant to be the end of their story :D

And yes! The sequel will be much more complicated than that. Dark Heart Silhouette is like part one to a two part book. It's the set up and the sequel (perhaps I should call it Road to Redemption? ;) will have a lot more action as all these character's stories, goals and motivations finally ( ... )

A month late, but dear lord this fic was awesome. I just... I'm sort of heartbroken over it. DDDD: I just I'm so heartbroken... I don't know what to say. I loved the darkness of it... but I'm just crushed right now. And sadly can't really give a coherent review or comment...
