Hmmm. I will tell you that Draco is on a road to redemption, but like real life, it's never simple. What I've tried to take into account in this story is what happened to make them the people they became - to explain why they all made the decisions they did. No one was completely good, but no one was really completely bad either; everyone had reasons for what they were doing.

What I can say to answer your questions is that nothing is ever as it seems. Every one of the characters was hiding something and when the truth finally comes out, it'll change everything - again. Draco and Astoria are irrevocably tied together, and what that will mean for them, they don't really understand yet - this wasn't meant to be the end of their story :D

And yes! The sequel will be much more complicated than that. Dark Heart Silhouette is like part one to a two part book. It's the set up and the sequel (perhaps I should call it Road to Redemption? ;) will have a lot more action as all these character's stories, goals and motivations finally cross paths in a way that can't be avoided.

Thank you so much for your interest and questions!! It's awesome to hear that you were really able to see the characters and connect with them, to see the dots connect in their logic. If you're at all interested, when the sequel is written, it'll be posted at my fic archive, wench_islands. Again, thank you for your lovely comments!!
