Errr... what a week. As escapefromkorea knows I could rant and rave about Christianity (and capitalism) to I pass out, but I'm going to try not to rant and rave today. I will say that Jesus week is turning out to be the most depressing week of my year. I will save any insightful commentary until I am in a better mood regarding the subject, I still have yet to

Jesus week sounds like hell on earth.

It's horrible because there are so many wonderful people who are Christians (or at least call themselves such), but I can't help but see their beauty being in spite of their belief, not because of it. And then there are ones who are so caught up in their beliefs they can't see the empty bitter hatred

That's definitely true, there are a lot of good people that are Christians, and there are also a lot of not so good people that are Christian. It's tough not to bash the whole religion based on those that are hardcore fundies, and dislike anyone that doesn't agree with them. Some atheists want to make friends with Christians. Some atheist campus groups will go out of their way to do extracurricular activities with Christian groups. A big part of me doesn't quite see the point. Why make friends with people just because they are Christian? It just seems kind of disgenuine to me.
