Rodney's voice came over the comm. Rae smiled and rolled her eyes. How like Rodney to still use last names... Her smile faded after a second. She tapped the comm, replying. "I'm on the balcony on level 23, west side, Rodney. Why?" Her heart raced. Was that why he was sounding quick? Oh gods... "Is Radek alright?" She stood up from where she'd been leaning on the railing, ready to run inside at the slightest word.
Rodney adjusted his direction accordingly as he replied. "No. No, Radek's fine. He's off working right now. Got up before we did, but Carson talked to him a little bit ago. Stay there, I'll be with you in a minute." He tapped off the comm and in another minute was walking through the doors to the balcony.
"Hey." He walked up to her and wrapped his arms around her. "How you doing? Okay, yeah, stupid question."
She relaxed as he reassured her. He must just be checking in, then. "Alright, I'll be here." She tapped off her comm and turned around when he came through the door scant moments later

Rodney's still surprised that he has the right to freely hold her like this, and that she'd welcome it, as she obviously does. He kisses her forehead in thanks for the honesty. "You'll probably like Jackson. For a soft science, he's kind of okay. Surprised he doesn't have the gene, though; he's been ascended twice."
He doesn't ask how John helped; it's a bit obvious by the lack of stutter in voice. He's glad John was there for her. "Sorry I didn't really speak to you last night, but I had no clue what was going on and it looked like Carson had you under control while Radek was trying to cough up a lung or something. I did intend to ask after you, but then I had to take Radek out and...yeah

Carson pushed the rolling cart with a couple empty boxes up to the doors of Radek's old suite. This feels strange, he'd very rarely been here except for the wedding night, only a few times for lunch with Rachel. He was surprised when Rodney said Rae wanted to come with them, but he could understand a need to lay down different last images of the place. Especially if this was where she'd killed Wedges... He saw them approach, hand in hand. It was a sweet image. Carson was so glad Rodney cared so much for her. It had really opened him up, even if he was still a lab tyrant

Rodney smiled tightly at Carson. "Carson." He gave his husband a brief kiss then followed his two spouses inside. It doesn't look different from the last time he was here. Then again, he was more focused on Rachel and Radek than the layout of the room

Rachel doesn't take long in putting things in the box. They hadn't accumulated too much together yet. Work things from the desk, her pretty embroidered shawl... Her hand shook, then she balled it up and threw it back on the couch. So what if she never got to Prague again? The bitchsnake had fallen asleep under *her* shawl. In went her Swarovksi glass flower, her paper flowers from David, her hockey dvds... She'd give those to Rodney. Breathing deeply and pointedly *not* looking at the balcony, she forced herself to go to the door to the bedroom. Carson was putting Radek's clothes in the box as Rodney clutched Morena's case. Morena... Please, Lady, don't let Radek do anything foolish... He promised... She shook her head a little and looked at him

Rodney closes his eyes, trying to spare her the rage he knows is in them. His eyes have always told others what he's feeling and thinking. Windows to the soul indeed. It's why he sucks at lying.
Which is why he only nods when Carson tells him to go on. He pauses long enough to say, "You can use my private rooms, Rachel. For as long as you need. Consider anything in there yours."
Rodney adjusted his grip on the case then left the room. As he passes Rachel, Rodney leaned down to kiss her cheek and whispered, "Love you."

Then he left for the group suite with Morena.
