Monster meme and macs

I've invented a meme -- go through your Supernatural fics. Count up the incidences you've used each type of supernatural being/monster/critter and list them in your LJ. Which one comes up most often, and why?

I'm in the macstore now playing with the toys.

Decisions, decisions. There are some less expensive macbooks that might be enough for me but the whole trouble is my current PC laptop is crawling and so I don't want to compromise too much on power (no way am I going for a Mac air or a macbook pro, though).

I'm biased towards mac personally, because I have one, but frankly, I don't really think there's any amazing advantage over a pc function wise. However, it has some really cool free source software, and my 15" powerbook is a lot lighter than most other similarly sized computers, easy portability at its size was a big consideration for me, as was the bulk otherwise. Also, I think the virus threat is much less because people concentrate more on windows systems. But there are drawbacks, like where certain things are much more readily available for pcs than macs, and the price is definitely a big difference.

For word documents, the formatting is slightly awry even with equivalent versions of office, something about the default line spacing. At least it was a bit of a problem two years back, maybe it's different now.

The virus threat is lower and the OS is supposedly more stable overall, because of how it was designed to begin with.

Another computer has to enter my household (my mom's desktop has died a horrible death, everything from getting malware to the fan about to blow out at any second). So I thought, hey, here's my chance to switch.

Everyone I know who has a mac seems to love them!

Of monsters that are actually plot relevant and not just mentioned so I can pay lip service to the hunting, with the exception of the selkies, it's all demons (usually the crossroad variety) or ghosts or nasty human beings in my stories.

I do seem to use ghosts a lot! But I've used a wide variety of monsters. So uses of "monster critter" in my case may actually out-count the ghosts. But I'm very fond of using ghosts.

What? No hearts? ♥ Okay, that's not really important -- but it's those small things that I wonder about, what will I not be able to do anymore than I haven't thought of?

So far the mac YAY! vote seems to be winning. My coworkers are fond of them too, most of them got macs for their home personal usage.
