That was what I was thinking. They seem so sincere and yet. Something's so, so off about this.

Also, I know they want more children (which, I'm not against older parents... but they're both in their 50s and have young twins. Any more kids and let's face it, the HBB's going to be the one running around). But I always flinch a bit when someone/a couple is looking exclusively for someone younger.

It's sad kinda. It's like they've gotta be so emotionally immature to want a "plug and play" partner, so that if they do end up finding someone to fit the bill, they'll probably get someone a little immature.

It's so funny though, how many people think this is the way to go. So maybe it works well in the right circumstances.

I just see so many people dissapointed when they want people to fit into boxes.

There is some interesting balance to be struck there between being focused and goal oriented wrt your own stuff, and yet being flexible and open to possibilities wrt to everything else in the world.
