I have the windows in my kitchen and living room open right now.

When the real winter weather hits later this month, I don't want to hear any whines about how horrible New England winters are, okay?

I reserve the option to whine about how horrible the DC weather is at any time. :P

(but this has been really great! I hope the trees and other plants don't suffer from the confusion! I think I've only had to use my shovel (for actual snow... I used it for leaves) once this season.)

That's fine, you can whine about the weather in DC all you want. You will likely have gotten more snow this year than us up here in the frozen north have gotten anyway

I was thinking the very thought. Especially last nite, when I heard a TV commercial informing people that they can get free oil if they are in dire straits, etc. In that commercial they said "This winter is turning out to be one of the worst winters ever....."

BS. I bet they made that commercial in October.

I don't allow myself to whine about NE winters anymore. I picked this place. Iam a big girl. I can move. And am considering doing that--but ot because of the weather...but because I have happy feet and they want to move, and wander

Yeah, we keep wondering why Certain People can keep denying global warming...
