I'd like that, especially since a cold dry winter would be easier on my arthritis. BTW, welcome back and nice new user icon.

But it also means that any plants that rely on snow cover to keep them from dying off over the winter will be unprotected. It happened a couple years ago, we had little snow and it was so cold. Many people I know lost quite a few of their perennials that year due to frozen roots that wouldn't have frozen quite so bad if there were snow cover.

Thanks, I found the leaf in my user icon two autumns ago in my front yard. I like that it has a heart on it.

I hope you're right - driving in snow and shovelling every morning is such a pain. But I can deal with snow if I have to, ice storms are the worst.

I just talked to my sister-in-law in Florida, and she was bitching about the hurricaine. I mentioned that, with blizzard season upon us, I have little sympathy; at least you don't have to shovel it.

Anyway, I like snow: sparkly white is better that dead brown and gray.
