the brilliant Toshiko Sato made a cameo posing as a physician. Do you think she would have made a good companion for the Doctor? If so, which Doctor would you pair her with? Who's writing this--Davies or Moffat? :)
Tosh is brilliant, a little too brilliant and too emotionally honest, therefore vulnerable to travel with someone as wounded and abrasive as Ten was. I can see her with Nine-before he meets Rose-- but I also imagine Tosh leaving as Romana or Liz Shaw did to pursue her interest. However, of the three NU Who, Doctors, I would say Tosh would be wonderful with Eleven, with the right team of people. I see Toshiko more as UNIT personnel, or a friend/colleague of River's.
If she had been invited along with Nine and Rose, how do you think she and Jack Harkness might have interacted in the context of fellow travelers in Doctor Who, as opposed to supervisor-worker in TorchwoodIt’s difficult to imagine this scenario. In the canon Nine- Rose-Jack dynamic that Davies created, introducing Toshiko into the mix would only

Ten might have been okay with an extra woman (Sarah, Reinette) but I can't see Nine coping with an extra person well at all. He was way too unhealthily fixated on Rose. I wouldn't want to see Toshiko get treated like a spare part.
I did suggest Tosh meet Nine Before he meets Rose. And Sarah didn't travel with Rose and the Doctor, and Reinette--even though it seems she and Rose decided to share(easily enough as Reinette was the King's mistress was accustomed to compromise--) conveniently died

Hard to say if Tosh would have made a good companion for the Doctor. I mean Nine seemed interested in potentially adding someone else to the TARDIS -- see: Lynda-with-a-y (who I honestly loved more than Rose) -- but Rose was so territorial about the Doctor, I think it would only end up badly unfortunately
