Why didn't River recognize Rory in The Pandorica Opens/The Big Bang?

He's her dad, and therefore from her own time stream? He had been sucked into the crack.

Thank you, winninghearts. So if River was in Stormcage for killing Rory, why was she still in prison after he had been erased from time?

Because I don't think things magically changed around them when someone is sucked into the crack, they just kind of leave a gaping hole in your memory. That's what I always assumed.

I'm still not convinced regenerating girlie is River, though. I don't know if she could regenerate just because of her timehead. MAYBE THE CHILD OF A TIME LORD AND A TIME HEAD COULD, THOUGH.

I still think there is another child in the mix somewhere.

Yeah, I noticed that question was never really answered when it came up at the DNA reveal. The Doctor said no, but then he said that about Jenny to, and on top of that he half retracted his no by stating that he had no idea what was going on really and had no real concept of the complications.

Meanwhile I can't help but think Human/Time Lord DNA might offer some hope for a fix for Donna.

I've not read any spoilers or trailers or anything about future episodes so I don't know this about River turning evil everyone's talking about.
The questions I've been thinking is when in River's timeline does this episode happen? It's definitely not the same River Rory sow in stormcage. And she's in the same clothes as Day of the Moon. Which is unusual as River's ever the glamours.

I don't think the regenerating girl's River, too. For one the Doctor won't have called upon her to space, 1969 if she is the little girl, she'd been intefering with her own past and all the time she's investigating the sapcesuit of course she'd know it's her own childhood?! Something to do with Silence?

Exactly. River and the Future!Doctor would know if the spacesuit girl was River, and they know you can't go back into your own timesteam (though they sure seem to do it an awful lot).

The only explanation I can think of now is River somehow lost her childhood memory, so the future Doctor called River and his younger self to intefere with THEIR past :/ Oh god my head hurts.

Actually, it doesn't have to be River in that suit, it could be Baby River Doctor (as in their Kid)

Most of my problems stem from River = original spacesuit Timechild. Because a) What a sucky childhood for anyone, let alone someone who does have loving parents waiting for her and b) WTF is with the Silence kidnapping Amy? And her "bringing the Silence"? HMM.

I'm going to watch the Confidential and hopefully come out trusting Moffat a tad more than I do now.

The Confidential only makes it the more confusing, with Alex teasing on something out from nowhere :S I now fully understand what Moffat said about "But is this what you want to know?"(pharaphrasing here)
