It is my sad duty to announce that Mary Tamm, who played the first incarnation of Romana had passed away at the age of 62, following an 18 month battle with cancer. She joins the pantheon, Nick Courtney, Lis Sladen and Caroline John who have all died in the past year.

I've been re-watching Series 5 and thought i'd post some analysis of The Pandorica Opens, looking at some of the themes, imagery and mythology that are covered in the episode. Lots of discussion on the concept of The Underworld and the role that it plays in this episode.
