I agree! Except for the part where I have to wait a little longer. Unless they somehow give us stuff to tide us over.

I'm always skeptical now when I see "airing next autumn", because the last time I heard that, it got pushed back even more.

Was that when the Sixth Doctor said he was taking Peri to B-

Cause if so, yikes.

I'm going to need my hand holding through next spring, but after that I can foresee it's going to be absolutely amazing! Hopefully the extra time will give the Moff time to write some spectacular stories and get some wonderful guest stars.

So far the order seems to be thus.

Christmas 2011 - Christmas Special

Easter 2012 - Easter Special

Autunm 2012 - Season 7 Pt 1

Christmas 2011 - Christmas Special

Spring 2013 - Season 7 PT 2

Autumn 2013 - Season 8

Christmas 2013 - Christmas Special tying into 50th Anniversary.

So it looks like we'll have plenty of Who over the next two years. Just spread out.

Is this something you've pieced together from various sources, bb, or an official list somewhere?

Kind of curious, I did not know about an Easter Special, I don't know why this information passed me by unless I'm going senile... XD

I saw that list here http://doctorwhotv.co.uk/doctor-who-series-7-autumn-2012-26419.htm. It does say that is their prediction though.

Ah, right. I hope it's based on some degree of accuracy, because DAMN, that's a mighty fine line up for the next 2 years. I just hope Matt is sticking around for the majority, if not all of it. ♥

And of course - we Classic Who fans had to put up with endless months with no Who!

And it was always shown in Winter - which was fantastic.

It's funny, I started watching back when Pertwee was in the TARDIS, and my childhood memories of Who are such that, when I look back, it was ALWAYS on the TV; I don't remember the times it wasn't ever happening, it seemed like it was on every week, all year round. ♥

If they stopped showing Eastenders 4 times a week, they'd have money for longer series of Who... ;)

Ohh I remember endless summers with no Who - and you'd go back to school in September knowing that Who wasn't far away...

My memories are similar. But I seem to remember it always being summer as well. LOL
