Series Five, Week Eight: The Speculations and Questions Post

The HOLY FARK, SILURIANS Edition!

Since I failed so spectacularly last week in not posting this--I blame it on the awesome mindfuck that was Amy's Choice--here we go with this week's speculation-o-rama.

Be warned, spoilers for the series will abound here, and I might as well go ahead and say that there will be a major spoiler for next week that ( Read more... )

Goddammit Moff and Company. Why must you make my brain melt EVERY SINGLE EPISODE?

I only want to say one thing: The Ring is important. I personally feel that it's going to be 'reference-point' or sumsuch for future back-in-time hopping.

More things I want to say:
ELLIOT! Please oh please don't hurt the little kid! And... did anyone else think that mayber Future!Doctor or Future!Amy+Rory told him something? That scene in the cemetery made me suspicious. Not just the Sherlock Holmes' reference just, hmm.

I speak and words come out: For some reason, just to go against the grain, maybe it will not be Tony who attacks/kills Alaya.

Btw! Anyone notice that Future!Rory has a blue-jacket? Kind of like what AU!Rory wore in 'Amys' Choice'? Is it signifigant? Maybe not but again:

I couldn't resist! I was going to use it in my 'MattCaveSecret'-post but... I couldn't wait. Feel free to use it guys! XD

I know. I'm horrible. You will now think of Toby Jones everything someone says, 'Anything could happen' in a ever so slightly naughty-tone. ;P

I looked at Future Rory and Amy in sweet delicious 780p and Rory really does look dressed very similarly to his Amy's Choice togs, except his jacket is a full-on puffer one, like his vest, but by then he's graduated to sleeves!

Just watched the beginning of "Hungry Earth" again. Anyone else find it a bit obvious when the Doctor comments to Amy about Rory being able to "catch up". Anyone else think that there was more funky editing, a la "The Beast Below", between Rory leaving the Doctor and Amy and them meeting up later?

Now that you mention it.... I see what you mean.

HRRRM.

Now that you mention it Amy's said in the deleted scene that Rory's a dawdler...so I'm guessing that has overall significance when he doesn't show up for two episodes after Episode 9....he does catch up in the finale. Might be a silly thought of mine, but thought I'd just post it.

On the BB I don't think there was any sign of funky editing....though maybe after we see the whole series then we can look back and see stuff we may have missed, which sounds a bit fun.

Sounds like a perfect excuse to re-watch the whole series during the 6 month dry spell we'll have between the end of the series and C-mas!

You're right, there's something funky with the timeline (husband died weeks ago, but the hole showed up last night? what?) but then Rory meets up with the Doctor again? And now I'm confused

2. I think Tony will too, but I hope it's Ambrose. Her son and husband were taken, and she was the one who thought about bringing weapons. It seems that they were sort of setting up for her to be the one, and then veered left for Tony to do it with the tongue-stabbing.

3. It better be important, or that was the least important scene ever.

I am so worried about Rory. I really like him!

Yeah, I sort of agree now about Ambrose, especially after the Doctor asked her to remove the weapons from the van and she kind of gave him a dirty look. But I really don't think it's going to be Rory, especially after he said they were going to keep her safe, and that shot of him screaming "NO!" in the Cold Blood Trailer.

3. I am so for real.

2. I think Tony is too obvious. This is Moff & Co. we are talking about. Why would they be so obvious about something probably important? I think it'll be Ambrose, she seems like she'd snap out of frustration over her kid.

3. I'm loving the theory that the placement of the ring is going to be important. I'll have to go back and look for it when the Doctor goes back in the Tardis/after falling into the earth.

2. Now that I've had more time to think about it I think it's a 50/50 chance between Ambrose and Tony, but definitely not Rory.

3. I just rewatched the episode and it's still there on the console right where Rory left it.

3. *Theorizes* Oooh the thoughts that can come out of this! exciting and frustrating at the same time.

#3... Which then begs the question, is it STILL there after the TARDIS gets tossed around and dropped through the crust of the planet?
