hey, bb! i know it's been ages! How've you been - how is the family; which fandoms keep you engaged now, are you still writing?

I fell off the fandom radar a while back; had a couple of unsettled/stressful years at work, and, you know, I'd felt written out. I'm back, though! and it would appear my well is slowly filling again, albeit for a different fandom! come stalk my AO3 (where I'm jehane18), if you were so inclined ;)

I've been well! Quick family update: Pip was diagnosed with celiac back in Sept 2014 after nearly dying (not joking), and this past Sept I started eating low-carb due to blood sugar numbers and have lost 30 lbs as of March 1. We lost two puppies (they were both 15) and have gained two new puppies, Beau(regard) and Ti(condaroga). (I'm cutting diet talk by request if you hang around LJ and that's something that triggers you.)

I am still writing, but it has slowed down over the years because my muse sucks. When I write, my main fandom is Teen Wolf, with some Clint/Coulson thrown in for good measure, and a bunch of small fandoms. (I haven't written any Steve/Bucky, but I love to read it. I can't wait for Civil War!!) I spend a lot of my time moderating my small fandom communities, and talking about tv.

Mae is still around, a little bit. Sadly, not enough. *g*

I am on Tumblr (spikedluv there, too), but mostly for the Teen Wolf meta (though not so much lately) and the Steve/Bucky pretty.

hon, I am so sorry to hear about your family's health scare. hope all's well now? and glad to hear about your weight loss and diet - i do low carb myself, and find it really helps me, together with pilates. exercise is key for us older girls! (and, no triggers at all, dont worry.)

you must tell me about small fandombang, I'm not sure I know much about it, and what qualifies, and i should! i will be there for Bucky/Steve, though ;)

Well, I'd love to hear what you've been up to. How long have you been away from LJ? I had my hiatus moments so I hadn't been able to keep track of everyone. There's not much to catch up on with me. My life is still as boring as ever, still busy with work. I do have new fandoms, too many that it's hard to focus. I'll go pay your AO3 a visit to see new works once I'm done with work. See ya!!!

Iiiii think my last LJ entry was from when DCook came to the Island, like, in 2012? I had a couple of crazy busy years at work - back to back trials, some career crap - and, you know, I was sort of American Idoled out, and my well was dry, and I didn't really feel the crazy fandom love anymore. I lurked on the fringes of Hannibal fandom, though, and last year I made it out to NYC to watch Hamilton and Les Mis, and suddenly I was in love again with a singer in the same way I hadn't been since DCook. And I stalked a couple of journals and then the porn battle happened, and OMG there was a flood of fic from me ;)

Otherwise, things are good now; back on a more even keel at work, kids growing like weeds. Hub got a promotion at work and now heads his agency. I am trying to persuade him to learn how to Argentine tango with me, lol. Have started Broadway signing class.

Dear God, where is that second-to-last photo from? That looks intense!

I knew the 54 Below bits because I'd seen them on Tumblr before, but I hadn't seen anything from their Les Mis run so far, so the Valjean/Javert video made me happy. It also made me remember just how amazing - and inappropriately hot - Ramin's Valjean was. (Get your ass back to the West End, man!)

It's funny because I remember that very same scene with Hadley's Javert and how terribly amused I was when Ramin's Valjean got very up-close-and-personal with him and a lot more handsy than I remember from previous Les Mis casts.

Looking at that photo, I think all stage rehearsals should be done in suits. Especially with characters pushing each other against walls. I'm definitely in favour of that. Yumm.

Coriolanus was a slashy thing of beauty. ♥ The kiss was only the tip of the ice berg. I didn't see it on stage, but I caught the live screening in a movie theatre and it was just glorious.

Hadley's beard made my mind drop deep, deep down into the gutter. I'm pretty sure there's a download for it somewhere, so if you see it, have a look!

Um. About the icon - I know this is silly, but I'm terribly OCD about icons and never use sharable ones. (That's why I basically make them all myself, or ones made specially for me by friends.) I'd offer to make you one but I won't be back on a proper computer with photoshop for a few weeks, so if you could wait that long... :)
