Potboiler

I'm not tripping too much about the Netherlands "pot ban." I have faith that Amsterdam will find away around it just as they've spent hundreds of years finding ways around other things that cost them money.

As Robert Baratheon once said, let's also ban eating, shitting, and breathing ...

drugs, amsterdam

Yeah, that's not going to be enforced too well I'm thinking.

I'm loving how into GRRM's series you are :)

Too into it ... I lost a dare and had to put Robert's warhammer on my wish list for at least two hours. Thank God nobody bought me the damn thing.

Don't worry about the pot ban ext_1185058 April 29 2012, 12:20:35 UTC
They are not going to forbid it ( thank Bastet), they are just turning coffee-shops into a members only club ( 2000 members max, only Dutch passport holders) which makes this plan about as stupid as outlawing it. Also for now it is only for the border 'provincies' in the south where lots of French and Belgian 'tourists' buy their smokes. After a few months/a year, they will evaluate and see if its introduced for the rest of the country ( ... )

This is all good to hear from an actual Dutch person! I understand the "logic" of the province ban due to smuggling, but can't see any reason it should apply to Amsterdam or any good way to enforce it there.

Hate the Bulldog! Had a "Nepalese temple ball" there once that tasted like burning rubber -- never again! Some of my favorites are the Grey Area, the Green House, the Green Place, Basjoe ... Barney's ...aaaahhhh ... sigh.

I'm sure it will be fine, too much of their tourist trade depends on it :)
