From the comic XKCD. I though it appropriate. I, too, have these dreams.

Oh God! That's it exactly! I've never (knowingly) met anyone else who had these dreams, though I knew I couldn't be the only one.

ETA: I know with absolute certainty that the class pictured in the comic is math. Probably trigonometry (*shudder*).

Oh god, I've been having those dreams for the last few weeks too.

They don't help the quality of sleep at all.

Oh, I have dreams like this all the time. Ones of going to college and can't open the locker, can't get to class, missed the test. Whats worse is when I have teaching dreams! (ex teacher here)

I usually chalk them up to anxiety dreams.

I have that dream about math class too. Sometimes I'm back at the university, sometimes it is back in high school, but the story is always something got messed up and now you have to go back and take this awful class or everything is ruined forever. The school is always different. It's awfully emotionally fraught because of the crazy circumstances of how I graduated a year early, and I wake up in a sort of terror.

My scary school dreams usually involve music lessons where I forgot to practice, or I show up for a performance and as I get to the keyboard I find out that I'm looking at the sheet music for the first time.
Most confusing are the elementary school dreams where the stairs are missing and I have to walk up impossibly narrow ledges to get to the classroom on the third floor. In the middle of those dreams I wish I could just say "Fuck it, I can't walk up the lack of stairs, so I'm not going to school until they fix it. And why am I back in 6th grade?"

I have these dreams too, often they involve half knowing that I am really far too old to be at school but that I still have to come back to finish exams that I haven't revised for. For me the dreams often seem to be about being stuck in a particular phase of my life or needing to get something finished or move on.
