Made it through Branson without seeing a single show, not counting a couple of IMAX movies on the Nile and Lewis&Clark. Did get to rent a pontoon boat and cruise Table Rock Lake for a few hours.

As mentioned, met my side of the family (Dad, Mom, both my sisters and their families) in Daytona. Eventually. Both my sisters and my Mom had tremendous flight problems compliments of Delta. My Dad simply got the wrong day in his head, missed his flight, but got another one latter that night. Our flight was mediocre (AirTran), but uneventful. ( Read more... )

Just returned from camping in PA. Nice week mostly. Cooler than usual. Ok, the couple of days of hurricane-remnant rains towards the end was a bit tiring but we survived it pretty well ( Read more... )

Mind you, I've probably drove through CT to get to RI. And I definately drove from TX to FL, so caught a few other states. And I might have caught a corner of OK going to NM. But those hardly count. OTOH, I've really only driven through WV, but I've done it LOTS.

Anyway, I'm back. Had a good time. Rh likes Guinness. Only rained once. Not enough time in London. Did not, repeat, not manage to have fish and chips. Guess I'll have run back over there.
