Well, we were woke up last night by what sounded like a baby crying out. Took us a second to realize it was our rabbit, who passed on. Real tough on my lady. Last of our three mammals, all passing with in a year's time.

has passed on to wherever good dogs go and is presumably hanging out with Brandy who went there earlier this year. He was 16 years old and had a long good life.

In literature, there is a character type called an immortal. Doomed to watch loved ones grow old and fade away while he lives on unchanged. Having the choice of either isolating himself from society or bearing the pain of losing sequential spouses and friends.
