I've been slowly going through the Super B...um, is that still trademarked? Anyway, the commercials from the big game last Sunday when I came across the trailer for Poseidon. Don't forget Steve Martin in the remake of "The Pink Panther". Not too sure about that one.

According to IMDB, the star of The Pink Panther was David Niven. Yet the remake doesn't seem to have his character. And the original didn't have inspector Dreyfus; he only showed up later.

Then again, the original kinda sucked, so maybe it's for the best.

Wouldn't it make more sense to go on a cruise, in this case?

Ignoring the joke, I actually thought a cruise would be ideal since Italy is long and narrow. We could see basically the same places but not have to pack up our luggage each day. As it turns out, I couldn't find a cruise that just went around Italy. They all had to add stops to Greece or France or Bulgaria or somesuch. So we are taking a bus tour. Which is probably better since it will include Florence.

Anyway, enjoy yourselves. Do bring back a comparative report on the differences between northern, central, and southern Italian cooking.

Actually, when I heard about Poseidon, I was wondering if the Airport ... movies would be next.

I have heard that the north tends more toward the tomato sauce and the south more cream and seafood. I'll try to get you a first hand report. It's probably not too late to sign up and find out for yourself!
