-I volunteered at the Nature Center for the past two days. It was so much fun. The educational guys are full of amazing info. I learn something new and amazing every time. For example, a golden eagle can take down a deer.

-I learned that you shouldn't take a four-year-old to Ichiban so soon after fire safety day.  It took me a bit of talking to ( Read more... )

I know but he can count to 100 and it just kept getting worse. "When I'm forty, how old will you be?" (65) I couldn't decide when to stop saying an age and start saying, "dead."

-Adding a tsp of vanilla to pancake batter makes them even yummier.

Vanilla makes everything yummier :)

-I've been cheating on LJ with Facebook and Twitter. I'm sorry. It'll never happen again.

Me too, but for me it'll happen again. My brain is too disoragnized and tired for LJ entries right now.

-I met my first liberal homeschooler, yesterday. I thought they were a myth.

Rare, yep. But hey, we'll be there in a few years ourselves :) Plus, yanno, I'm a rarity anyway (gun loving liberal conservative - scary!).

My brain has also been mush.

It was the first time I'd had homeschooling explained to me from a purely educational standpoint. Very interesting. (yay, guns!)

My parents home school my sis (she left public school before the start of 7th grade) for probably 90% educational reasons. (Edited to note: My parents? About as far from liberal as you can get... Yeah, seems like homeschoolers are on one of either end of the spectrum usually... I know several of the hippie type, but the fundamentalists vastly outnumber them.

Also, how would you feel about me and Elowyn crashing with you on Thursday? I can't leave until after class at seven, and I'm not looking forward to a four hour drive. Three would be slightly better.

Thursday is fine. You two can use the two beds in little girl's room. We're still down to one bathroom, so I'll give you a discount. ;)

oh, yes, of course. I have my little waffle maker ready to go. I might see if I can find some blueberries to put in them if you like those.

I know some liberal homeschoolers! At least one of them in person, even.

Nice new pots and pans are a wonderful thing.

My dad calls it the theory of relativity - the age difference between you and your relatives. When I was born, he was 25 times older than me. Now it's down to 1.5 or so. Eventually we'll be the same age....
