So my agent has indicated that I should try to write something "that's not fan fiction, where the main character is younger than twenty or thirty, at the most."

At which point I thought, "Oh, but I wrote ... yeah, he was sixty-three or something. But wait, there's - fine, she was eighty-seven. I can sort of see what you're saying here."

Book 9 of my series is done. I'm supposed to start work on Towerland this weekend, which should help be get through the period before I start Book 10. Last time I was supposed to take a few weeks off and only made it five days. Five painfully boring days.

Damnit, I hope some of this gets published. Still, done with Book 9! Out of 10!

So, there's 25 minutes left to sign up, and there'll be no National Novel Writing Month for me this November. I really do love doing the program, but I happen to be in the middle of writing book 8 of my series (98k words this month), and I can't stop now.
