Application for Kyouya Ootori

Nov 08, 2007 18:04

Kyouya walks towards the gates, frowning only slightly despite his considerable annoyance. Simply because Tamaki had never been to Tokyo Disneyland was no cause for him to run off, especially when Kyouya had to give the limo driver instructions for when to pick them up that afternoon. Besides, Tamaki had surely been to Disneyland before in France, ( Read more... )

Katou can't help but show up when he hears what sounds like some snobby rich guy. A rich kid, but the looks of it, when he sees him. A rich kid who thinks he's above answering questions.

"Yo," Katou says.

"Ah, hello," Kyouya replies, giving Katou a friendly smile. "Kyouya Ootori. Do you know where we are?"

"I gathered your name already," Katou said. He doesn't tend to like rich people unless they're giving him a guitar, and he makes no show of hiding his feelings. "We're in Disneyland. You sure those glasses are strong enough?"

"Yes," he replied. "The optometry branch of the Ootori group is, of course, the most trusted in Japan. I have been to Disneyland before. It is usually more crowded, and has fewer cartoon animals."

Whether or not Katou was good at hiding his feelings, it didn't seem as though Kyouya had picked up on them. "I'm afraid I haven't gathered your name," he added. He needed to know who Katou was in order to determine whether or not his opinion mattered.

Setsuna arrives on the scene and immediately says, "I'll give you a quest, since you don't have one. Find a fucking way out of here."

"I'd be happy to," Kyouya replies. He glanced over at the gates. "However. I'm not sure I can walk through that. Do you mean to tell me that there is no other possible entrance or exit?"

"Yep, that's exactly what I'm telling you," Setsuna says in slight distress. "I've been trapped here for about a year."

"How troublesome," Kyouya says. He glances at the phone in his hand. "It appears my cell phone isn't getting any signal, either."

"Unfortunately, an explanation from our two hosts is very unlikely, and what information we have all managed to gather is sadly lacking." The Count smiles a little, perfect smile, folding his hands together in front of him and giving a small bow. "Of course, if you have questions, I would do my best to answer them." The boy will doubtlessly only keep asking unless he is given information, after all, and with his attitude most of what he receives will almost surely be either false or obtained with extreme difficulty.

Kyouya smiles and returns the bow, relieved to meet someone who seems both civil and helpful. "Thank you. May I ask your name?" he adds, smiling.

"I am Count D." To be quite honest, he's always civil. Except when Leon gives him reason not to be. With everyone else, even at his most dangerous, he is civil.

Right now, he's hardly dangerous. "You are looking for your friend?" he asks. "If you were travelling with him before, the odds that he is here are quite low, though he may show up in the future."

D and Kyouya were very much alike in that way-- there was no sense getting angry when you could exact just as effective revenge without losing your temper. The only one who ever made Kyouya really angry was Tamaki, as long as his behavior in the early morning wasn't counted.

"Kyouya Ootori," he replied. A count, was he? That was information worth keeping in mind. "A pleasure."

"That is...unfortunate," Kyouya replied. He didn't want to think about the sort of trouble Tamaki was certain to get himself into unsupervised. But there was nothing to be done. "Do you know how I've come to be here? Or where, specifically, we are?"

It was the name that got his attention. "Excuse me?" said Fay as he approached. "You're a friend of Suoh-ou's...?"

Suoh-ou. Kyouya's mouth twitches briefly, although whether in annoyance or amusement it's hard to say.

"We are classmates," Kyouya replied, leaving the friend comment up in the air. "Have you seen him? I lost track of him a few minutes ago."

"He was here a while ago," Fay answers. "He worked in my cafe for a bit, until he forgot." He smiles quite cheerfully at that - he found that rather endearing.

"He's... gone, I'm afraid. People do that here."

"So I've heard," Kyouya says dryly. "But how could he have been here so long? We only just arrived in Tokyo."

Kyouya had already been planning to look into the disappearances, but if Tamaki had been a victim then there was actual incentive besides interest and a vague hope he might find his way out. Still, the timeline didn't make sense.

"Okie-dokie, Kyouya. You ready to find out which one of our fantastic lands you'll be livin' in?"

"I suppose so," he replied. Kyouya didn't really care which land he was sent to, since as far as he could remember they were all equally annoying. Still, he was interested in seeing what the Mouse said.

"How d'ya feel 'bout Main Street?" he asked cheerfully.

"I think that would be fitting," Kyouya replied with a smile. Main Street did seem like it would have more useful things-- all the shops for that matter-- and was in the center of things as well.
