Application for Kyouya Ootori

Kyouya walks towards the gates, frowning only slightly despite his considerable annoyance. Simply because Tamaki had never been to Tokyo Disneyland was no cause for him to run off, especially when Kyouya had to give the limo driver instructions for when to pick them up that afternoon. Besides, Tamaki had surely been to Disneyland before in France, ( Read more... )

It was the name that got his attention. "Excuse me?" said Fay as he approached. "You're a friend of Suoh-ou's...?"

Suoh-ou. Kyouya's mouth twitches briefly, although whether in annoyance or amusement it's hard to say.

"We are classmates," Kyouya replied, leaving the friend comment up in the air. "Have you seen him? I lost track of him a few minutes ago."

"He was here a while ago," Fay answers. "He worked in my cafe for a bit, until he forgot." He smiles quite cheerfully at that - he found that rather endearing.

"He's... gone, I'm afraid. People do that here."

"So I've heard," Kyouya says dryly. "But how could he have been here so long? We only just arrived in Tokyo."

Kyouya had already been planning to look into the disappearances, but if Tamaki had been a victim then there was actual incentive besides interest and a vague hope he might find his way out. Still, the timeline didn't make sense.

"Time works very strangely here. I was here for a month or so before my companions arrived." The boy's taking this remarkably well...

"I see..." Kyouya replied, frowning. It would of course appear that he was taking it well, and in a sense that was true. Kyouya rarely allowed himself the luxury of worry; it made no sense to do so when worrying would do no good. Rather, he would have to solve the problem at hand.

But if he was being honest with himself, he would admit that he was concerned about Tamaki. He trusted his own abilities to cope with any situation that came up, but while Tamaki was likable and seemed to adjust well, he also had a definite proclivity for being easily frightened and behaving irrationally.

"How long ago did he go missing? And would I be correct in assuming that the disappearances are being investigated by someone? Who would be collecting such information?" he asked after a few seconds of appearing lost in thought.

"Quite a long time ago," Fay answered. "I don't know when - I didn't see him for a long while, and then he just wasn't here. I'm sorry," he added. Even if Kyouya didn't look all that distraught by the news, the mage still felt the need to say it.

"The police force are," he said. "Carrot-sama and... I think his name is Orcott-sama. They're looking into it. And keep saying things about the ducks."

"Thank you, ah, I'm afraid I didn't catch your name," he said with a sheepish smile. "Forgive me for not introducing myself, I'm Kyouya Ootori. I hope you won't think I'm rude, especially since you've been so helpful to me."

"Fay D. Flourite," Fay answered, smiling back easily. "It's nice to meet you, Kyouya-san. Ah, if you're a friend of Suoh-ou's, does that make you a king as well? Or are you a lord...?"

"No," he replied, giving Fay his very best 'politely amused' smile. "Not royalty, unfortunately. My father is merely a businessman. As is Tamaki's. I'm afraid Suoh-ou, for all his positive qualities, has a rather active imagination."

Fay laughed. "Everyone deserves their fantasies, if they're not hurting anyone," he chuckled. "See you around, Kyouya-san!"
