Application for Kyouya Ootori

Kyouya walks towards the gates, frowning only slightly despite his considerable annoyance. Simply because Tamaki had never been to Tokyo Disneyland was no cause for him to run off, especially when Kyouya had to give the limo driver instructions for when to pick them up that afternoon. Besides, Tamaki had surely been to Disneyland before in France, hadn't he? It was possible that the two were very different, but Kyouya couldn't see how. The only time he had visited theme parks before was with his father on business, and he had been too busy studying his father's business practices to notice very much about his environment.

He wasn't even sure what one did for 'fun' in a theme park, although he was certain his tiresome friend would be certain to show him if he was ever found again.

"Tamaki?" he calls, turning to look around, and suddenly realizing that not only is Tamaki missing, everyone else is as well. That certainly isn't normal; Disneyland always has hundreds of commoner families milling about at the gates. "Where--" And then he sees the mouse.

Mickey coughs theatrically. "'What is your name?'"

Kyouya pauses, startled, for a few seconds, and then his expression suddenly changes so that he is smiling as though nothing strange had just happened at all. "Kyouya Ootori," Kyouya replies, giving his name in the western style as the mouse was speaking English. "May I ask how I've come to be here?" he asked in perfect English. This clearly wasn't Tokyo. The mouse clearly wasn't real, either, but that question seems impertinent.

"What is your quest?" asks the Cat. It's perched, suddenly, on the roof of one of the gate-stiles.

"Ah, my quest? Why would a cat be interested in such things?" he asks.

"'What is the average w..?'" Mickey frowns down at the notebook. "You know, I don't really see why that's important." He flips a page. "'If you could be granted three wishes, what would they be?'"

"A very interesting question, to be sure," he tells the mouse, adjusting his glasses' position on the bridge of his nose. "For now, I am certainly interested in learning what is happening here. Would you be willing to oblige?"

"Or," the Cat says, examining its tail with interest, "if you were a genie and someone you were trying to
give three wishes to was trying to trick you into giving him more, what would you say?"

"I suppose you wouldn't be," he replies coolly. "Perhaps it is rude of me to say, but it seems that you are not responding to my answers at all. If this is the case, then I don't see any purpose to answering."

Mickey looks rather nonplused at the next, but reads, "'When the revolution comes, what skills will you be able to barter for food?'"

Kyouya smiles to himself, eyes downcast and secretive. The question doesn't concern him-- were there a revolution in the near future, he is certain he would know, and the Ootori family private army would be more than adequate to deal with it. At any rate, Kyouya is good at bartering, and moreover using other people's skills to do it.

The Cat rolls its eyes in a friendly (and rather disconcertingly out-of-sync) way, and asks, "Milk, dark, or white chocolate?"

Kyouya glances at his watch, but quickly looks away, as the time he has doesn't make sense. Useless, he thinks, frustrated. The watch was a gift from his brother, who ought to have known better than to purchase anything cheap that might malfunction. The ability to keep perfect time is of course an imperative. As soon as he is able to contact an employee, he will have to have a new watch sent for.

The chocolate question isn't worth considering. Just another way for Hani-sempai to waste club funds.

"'Choose the two coolest: robots, pirates, fairies, bears, ninjas, monkeys, vampires, or humans,'" says Mickey, giggling a bit as he goes through the list. "'Explain.'"

Kyouya glances up finally and meets Mickey's eyes, giving him a very warm and friendly smile. "Excuse me! Will this nonsense be over soon? My time is very valuable, I'm afraid." When there is no response, he adds "I am told pirates are very popular right now."

"Great!" Mickey flips through the blank pages of the notebook at top, cartoon-y speed. "Well, I think that's just about it! Oh, and I'm supposed to ask, 'for your safety: are you carrying anything sharp?'"

"No," Kyouya replies. "I am sure there will be no problems." The phrase is ambiguous, but then, so was Mickey's. "Will I recieve an explanation now?" He tilts his head, steeples his fingers, and waits.
