You'd think they'd want to take my money when I was interested in giving it to them, yes?

I've been enjoying my current LJ style for a little while now. It's awesomeness to have a guy in a band I enjoy being all friendly with my adorable little frog purse, but I think it's time for a new style on my LJ.

Partially, this is because the black background gets in the way of various geeky RPG related image exchange when planning out bits for ( Read more... )

P.S. When I upload the new Reference Pages tonight (including the one with the RPG characters), there's going to be an additional text entry field under the "LiveJournal username/community" field: "name to be displayed (optional)". This will let you enter "spacecowboy48" in one field and "Spiegel" in the other to get this result:

Wow, now that I finished changing my journal's appearance, those color boxes you used in your comments to show off icons and such really are scary looking. :-P

  1. What are you doing quoting wankery from that jackass, theferrett and not allowing commentary in your journal, only his?

  2. The Vic thing with Trav, that is so perfect. Dude's lazy with names, probably half the reason that Spiegel's double gets called Luke. Probably started out of laziness, but stuck the one time Trav caught a twitch in "Rebel" Storvik's eyebrow. If he ever does something that bothers Trav, I promise you, it'll be "Vicky!" next. ;)

  3. So, how would the other Storviks react if Diz started calling one of them Vic to tell 'em apart from each other quickly? I'm sure Trav's going to call "Rebel" Storvik that at some point in Dizi's presence, so she'll pick it up. She picked up a lot of habits from her Travis, like the head tilt she does from time to time, which his double does too.

  1. Every now and then other people quote me, and then they get more responses than my original post did. Since I was simply quoting him without adding any original content of my own, I thought it was only fair to send the comments to him. Plus, I thought it might be funny to catch people (who aren't as observant as you) commenting in his journal thinking they were commenting in mine. Because I'm evil.
  2. I noticed the "Luke" thing, and I also felt like tossing a few puns in there … and showing through his annoyance that

By the way, I've had an idea for the conclusion of this storyline.
  • As the shuttle is preparing to leave, Rebel Storvik asks to come along (he thinks he's entitled, since he did help them somehow). Noelle or Spiegel says that they think the extra mass (with the wrong quantum signature) might interfere with their return, while Dizi says "We have enough Storviks back home already."
  • Rebel Storvik pulls out a weapon and insists. Diz beats the crap out of him (since he's the wuss version of Storvik), maybe saying something like "the Storvik I know could hold off an armed security squad with a handful of peanuts!" He gets left behind, and Diz gets to brag to the other Storviks that she beat up their twin.
  • Travis, who either witnessed the fight or shows up just too late and finds the black-and-green beat up Storvik, gives him the nickname "Vicky". However, before he got kicked off the shuttle, Rebel Storvik managed to steal a piece of "Federation technology"... Spiegel's sonic screwdriver.

Spiegel will be a little unset to lose the sonic screwdriver, but I can turn that into a plot point to torture him by way of Corey later. Brilliant. :D Maybe Spiegel just handed the sonic screwdriver over to Vicky* without paying much mind while they were working on acquiring the parts they need, and never realized he failed to collect it back. Spiegel and Diz could have been exchanging commentary about the sorts of things the Doctor did with the thing in the show, but in such a way that Vicky doesn't realize they're talking about a piece of entertainment, and actually thinks that the sonic screwdriver can do all those things. It'd be smashing if he actually holds the sonic screwdriver to someone's head as if it's a weapon, then acts confused when he gets his ass handed to him anyways. We could add insult to injury if Diz quips "Well, I bet the bearded Storvik could turn that thing into a weapon, he could hold off a brute squad with but a handful of peanuts!"

I'm going to have Travis turn coat at some point, and basically end up ( ... )

The Rebellion wants Fed tech, so I want Vicky to steal some, as a sort of consolation prize, when he gets kicked off of the shuttle. It's funny if it's something relatively useless like the sonic screwdriver (as opposed to, say, stealing the plans for a Defiant class starship). Trying to use it as a weapon to force his way back to FedSpace, though? Comedy gold!

So, who is in charge of Terok Nor now? The Rebellion or the Alliance? What's Travis' position there?

The rebellion currently holds Tarok Nor. Trav's part of the engineering department, which is under the command of Noelle's doppelganger. We're going to meet her soon.

Cool.

I don't get to vary my characters as much, since we haven't found a universe yet where Vulcans have pink mohawks.

Well, you could blame it on a practical joke. Maybe have the holo-emitters on the Murgatroid get "fixed" by someone helpful. Oooo, I have ideas. *grin* I'll tell you more once I've had time to ponder on it.

Remember this?

http://community.livejournal.com/uss_murgatroid/84694.html

The last time Khan messed around with hair, on Ifix, it turned him canary yellow. Since he's using that as a base for the Storviks' request, we've already determined that strange color and placement of hair are possible side effects for the Storviks to look forward to.

I thought when Evil Storvik does slip away from the Murg, he might run into Diz. But that would be before any side effects (at least at first).

I feel sorry for "Evil" Storvik when he runs into Diz next, Dude hasn't encountered her since the night of passion with Ryan. She could be inclined to rib him about it without actually admitting she knows about it. *grin*

I don't remember, does Diz know that the two Storviks produced T'Sorvik? I know Diz has met T'Sorvik, but I don't remember if she knows of the unusual circumstances of her birth.
