The first person to great Iris was not X, or any of his friends, but rather, a young blond woman. There was a Kudamon draped around her shoulders.

"I see you're back on line," she said. "I'm glad. Hello, Iris. My name is Ciel, and I helped to repair you."

"Oh," was the first thing Iris said to Ciel, as she turned her head slightly to look at the woman. "... Thank you. Where am I?"

Ciel managed a tiny smile. "You're in a place called the Royal Base. I hope you're comfortable, at least."

Iris blinked, her expression remaining unreadable. "... I'm fine. Who else is here?"

"IRIS!"

Colonel sprang forward, pushing past X. PawnChessmon quickly evolved to Gladimon, and chased after Colonel, who attempted to pull Iris away from the vent.

"Fairymon!" X didn't have time to say anything more before Colonel pushed past him and he had to catch the doorframe to keep his footing. And then he was following Colonel into the room.

"What are you doing?! Iris, you need to rest and recover!"

Iris was grabbed and pulled, which also pulled Fairymon out of the vent as the digimon had a good grip on her Tamer. While Iris screeched at Colonel and kicked at the larger reploid, Fairymon quickly recovered.

"Oi, this is what she wants, so stay out of our way!" Fairymon snapped before... trying to get Iris away from the other two reploids.

Gladimon got in front of Colonel, crossing his two swords in front of him as he blocked Fairymon.

"Lots of people want to do lots of things," he said, sternly. "Doesn't mean that we should let them. What did I tell you about responsibility, Fairymon?"
