What was chewing through the hull, you might ask? Well, namely, it was one robotic shark and his partner, Tylomon.

Sky-Byte took out a mouthful of chron digizoid, working towards breaching the engine room, while Tylomon tore at the fuel reserves. Once the digimon succeeded, fuel poured out of the ship. Sky-Byte meanwhile, succeeded in breaching the engine room, causing it to begin flooding with water.

"Hello there!" said Sky-Byte, shifting into robot mode and grinning evily at the astonished technicians. "Let me show how a real evil genius takes care of his foes! TSUNAMI BLASTER!"A blast of energy flew from his spark crystal, striking the engine and causing it to explode, violently. Then, turning, he shifted back into beast mode and swam back out. Tylomon was waiting for him

In moments, the crews of the various vessels - including MarineDevimon's - had made it off of their boats and onto land.

"This isn't over," seethed MarineDevimon. "We may not have the nautical advantage, but we still have a large enough army! Onward, you scurvy dogs! We'll conquer this blasted forest yet!"

With a loud cry, the still formidable Dark Area army began their march through the forest... leaving the river in flames behind them.

Not all demons worked for the Dark Army, especially one demon in particular.

"RAZOR WING!" shouted Devimon, dissolving some of the weaker members of the Dark Army to clouds of data.

"VEE HEADBUTT!" came the cry of the Black V-Mon, his master, Doctor Doom marching behind as the young Digimon slammed his head into another beast's stomach.

"Nice job, my friend... and now... to finish him!" Doom shouted. He held out his hand and fired a bolt of energy, taking off the creature's head. "This is just one. There are many more that need to fall."

"ARRR! WHERE DID ALL THESE SCURVY TAMERS COME FROM?!"

That was what MarineDevimon exclaimed as he fought his way forward... using one of his underlings as a flail. Suddenly, there was a loud siren call, followed by a howl... as a number of Garurumon, Gaogamon, and a MachGaogamon appeared on the edge of a nearby cliff.

MarineDevimon narrowed his eyes. MachGaogamon shot him a smirk.

"Looks like it's time for one of the Area Generals to join the battle..."

MarineDevimon hissed, and spewed forth a blast of flaming ink. MachGaogamon shot towards him, dodging the ink... only for it to land helplessly in the trees. Or not so helplessly, as it rather quickly set the trees on fire.

MarineDevimon and MachGaogamon engaged in combat... matched for now. His subordinates joined the fray on the side of the Tamers... but on top of everything, there was a fire spreading now.

((Feel free to NPC MachGaogamon's soldiers, everyone.))

Saya watched in surprise as the fire started spreading around the entire forest! Why...why would they do this to their own world?! The Tamer from Okinawa clenched her fists tightly as Tailmon glanced over at the fire as well.

"What are we gonna do, Saya?"

Saya stared at the fire for a long moment before a look of determination was set on her face. "We're gonna find Diva and SangLoupmon, and then...we're gonna put a stop to these Digimon! As a family!"

"Ha; we're a family of two Queens, a cat and a dog in a Digitree. Well, if that's what you want I'm with you all the way Saya!"

Hay Lin gasped as she suddenly stopped charging up any Air-based attacks. The fire that had just started spreading would only keep spreading if she continued to launch any attacks!

"Aquilamon, let's regroup with the others and try and figure out how we can stay in the fight! Our attacks aren't gonna do anything but cause harm to the forest." Hay Lin yelled out as the Adult Digimon nodded briefly before charging full speed at any enemy Digimon that were still in the skies.

"You got it, Hay Lin!"

Aang immediately stopped launching his Firebending once seeing what had occurred with the trees and the flame-based ink! The Avatar glanced over at where Zuko and Sokka were at and whistled in their direction.

"Guys, we have to try and put a stop to the fire! Zuko, stop Firebending! It'll only cause more harm to the forest. It's time for some Waterbending!"

Galgomon grinned wickedly as he watched Aang summon up some water from beneath the ground and shot a powerful blast of water toward the fire. It was somewhat effective, but not enough to completely put out the fire as a whole!

"Keep it up Arrow Kid! We'll save the forest before things completely go up in smoke. No doubt about it!"

"I... HAVE... HAD... ENOUGH!"

MarineDevimon's loud, wrathful cry rang out over the burning forest. Snarling, his tentacles wrapped around MachGaogamon, and squeezed him violently. He constricted them, squeezing nearly the very life out of the digimon, before dropping him to the ground.

MarineDevimon panted, heavily... it had been a difficult battle, but he had prevailed... for now. But as he looked over the battlefield... he saw the multitude of his forces decimated by the Tamers. His eye twitched. How had he allowed himself to falter so badly...

Screaming in rage, he decided it would all be best left to him now. Roaring, he stomped towards the nearest Tamer, firing a blast of explosive ink from his mouth.

((Moving this into the next phase, guys; direct battle with the boss. Focus on fighting MarineDevimon from here on))

Unfortunately for Ikuto... he was the nearest Tamer. Before he could get a sense of what was happening, MarineDevimon's attack struck nearby him, sending him and a number of MachGaogamon's soldiers flying. Ikuto impacted with the ground, bouncing several times, before lying motionless.

"... Ikuto!" screamed Peckmon. He spread his wings, and prepared to fly to his partner's side, only for one of MarineDevimon's tentacles to swat him away.

With an insidious laugh, MarineDevimon's cheeks swelled, as he let loose another volley of exploding, flaming ink.

Doom's eyes widened as he watched the ink race towards him. Diverting all power from his systems to his forcefield, Black V-Dramon could only watch as his Tamer was hit point black by the ink.

"MASTER DOOM!" Black V-Dramon yelled out as he watched the dazed Doom crash back into the forest. He dove right after him and found him struggling to stand. "Sire, are you okay?"

"The beast caught me off-guard... he won't do it again!" Doom said, shaking the cobwebs out of his head. He stood once more, a bit of his cloak tattered from the explosion, but still in one piece. He realized a Psycho Blaster and fired at MarineDevimon coupled with a burst of energy from his own armor.

MarineDevimon's tentacles snapped upwards, blocking the laser blasts and then protecting him. Cackling, he grabbed at a nearby fallen Gaogamon, and heaved its unconscious body at Doom.

"Arrr, matey, try this on for size!"

MarineDevimon let out a frightful yowl as multiple attacks hit him. He stumbled back, groaning, his tentacles instinctively snapping back and releasing everyone that they had ensnared.

He faltered, stumbling... leaving a wide opening for any potential attackers to strike at him again.

Not too far away, Ikuto came upon Peckmon, who he ran to and attempted to jostle awake. Peckmon stirred... and his eyes widened, upon seeing Ikuto.

"Ikuto.." he said, getting to his feet. "You're... you're okay..."

Ikuto smirked. "Yes, Peckmon... but now, everyone needs us."

Both Tamer and partner narrowed their eyes, and tried to marshall their strength... the strength they had felt back in their own world, and earlier on Draco Island. The result was a bright flash of light between them...

"Peckmon, evolve to..."

The ostrich-like digimon's wings grew longer, and his legs became shorter, and one was added in number. A golden mask formed over his head, and his plumage became dark colored, save for the white on his head. A long cable came out of the back of his helmet, and a pestle appeared on each of his wings.

"... YATAGARAMON!"The mighty crow flapped his wings, and... seeing Yuka in the distance, spun the pestles on his wings. "MIKAFUTSU NO KAMI!" cried Yatagaramon, gathering energy and firing a massive blast from two of his

"OH!" Lacus cried out as MarineDevimon's tentacle released her from his grip, tossing Tailmon and FlaWizardmon off of it as well. As she hit the ground, she held her side. She swore she heard something snap and the pain searing through her side confirmed that the squeeze broke a rib. What got her fired up was that the beast had decided to get a bit frisky and if he hadn't released her

From his hiding spot, Doom watched the beast, his D-Reader held out, scanning him constantly. He knew that this power would be worthwhile somehow.

"Black V-dramon. Are you ready?" Doom asked. Black V-dramon nodded as he pounded his fists together.

"Let's show them our TRUE power!" Black V-dramon said.

"Very well. Realize! Psycho Blasters! Realize! MarineDevimon!" Doom shouted. In mere seconds, Black V-Dramon sported two Psycho Blasters on its shoulders and found itself with a set of tentacles. "Go, Black V-Dramon!"

"Aye!" It said, charging into the battlefield. It lept into the air as it got close. "NECK HANGING!" The tentacles shot out, trying to wrap itself around the beast. "GUILTY BLACK! DOUBLE PSYCHO BLASTERS WITH HAMMER PUUUUUNCH!" In rapid succession, the beast fired out a burst of firey ink at his opponent, then dived at him, firing its Psycho Blasters as it prepared for its own finishing blow.
