What was chewing through the hull, you might ask? Well, namely, it was one robotic shark and his partner, Tylomon.

Sky-Byte took out a mouthful of chron digizoid, working towards breaching the engine room, while Tylomon tore at the fuel reserves. Once the digimon succeeded, fuel poured out of the ship. Sky-Byte meanwhile, succeeded in breaching the engine room, causing it to begin flooding with water.

"Hello there!" said Sky-Byte, shifting into robot mode and grinning evily at the astonished technicians. "Let me show how a real evil genius takes care of his foes! TSUNAMI BLASTER!"

A blast of energy flew from his spark crystal, striking the engine and causing it to explode, violently. Then, turning, he shifted back into beast mode and swam back out. Tylomon was waiting for him.

"Master Sky-Byte!" exclaimed his partner. "What are we going to do now!"

"Just move you cretin!" he said, surging past his partner. Tylomon nodded, and swam after him. The pair breached the surface of the water, just as a chain reaction of explosions began ripping through MarineDevimon's ship.

"Now, just as we planned!" cried the flying shark. "SHARK MISSILES!"

"Terror Plankton!"

Sky-Byte launched two missiles, while Tylomon fired off a barrage of miniature projectiles. They struck the surface of the water, setting the fuel on fire... a blaze that quickly began to spread through the length of the fleet.

Sky-Byte shifted into robot mode, and cackled. Tylomon laughed as well... before they both realized how close they were to the exploding ship. It erupted violently into flames, sending the duo flying into the sky by way of the shockwave.

"This always happens to me," whined the shark, anticipating a rather violent meeting with the ground.

In moments, the crews of the various vessels - including MarineDevimon's - had made it off of their boats and onto land.

"This isn't over," seethed MarineDevimon. "We may not have the nautical advantage, but we still have a large enough army! Onward, you scurvy dogs! We'll conquer this blasted forest yet!"

With a loud cry, the still formidable Dark Area army began their march through the forest... leaving the river in flames behind them.

Not all demons worked for the Dark Army, especially one demon in particular.

"RAZOR WING!" shouted Devimon, dissolving some of the weaker members of the Dark Army to clouds of data.

"VEE HEADBUTT!" came the cry of the Black V-Mon, his master, Doctor Doom marching behind as the young Digimon slammed his head into another beast's stomach.

"Nice job, my friend... and now... to finish him!" Doom shouted. He held out his hand and fired a bolt of energy, taking off the creature's head. "This is just one. There are many more that need to fall."

"GATLING ARM!"
"NINJEN KEN!"

The twin digimon fought in tandem, tearing their way through a a group of Devimon, while Wallace manged to take down a Boogeymon that wasn't paying attention with his Licht Sieger.

"3 down, a kajillion more to go." said Gargomon

Sokka rode atop Garurumon, slashing at any and all oponents that chalenged him. He tried not to kill if possible, only to hit weak points for massive damage, but this was war and if he had to kill then so be it.

He sent his boomerang flying as often as possible to take out more of the Dark Area's forces, while Garurumon fired off blasts of blue fire and ice.

He kept at it for a while trying to catch sight of Aang or Toph somewhere. He knew the two benders could easily hold their own...but this enemy was something totally new, and the forces never stopped coming.

He needed to think of a strategy...and fast.

"Fuego!"

"Magic Ignition!"

Harry and FlaWizardmon wasted no time in charging in, fire spells going. A careful observer might note that the two of them were trying to keep the spells heading toward the river, minimizing the fire damage.

"Smokey the Bear wouldn't be happy with us," Harry said.

"He can take it up with MarineDevimon," Flawizardmon replied.

"Don't let them get behind you," Harry called to the other defenders of the forests.

"BLUE THUNDER!!!" Was shouted into the fray as Lighdramon sent bolts of electricity everywhere, trying to electrocute as many of the demon digimon as possible.

And while his partner was trying to kill, Kutner was simply trying to paralyze as many as possible with an AED mounted on his back and the paddles super charged with his Digisoul.

"Lighdramon...do you REALLY feel the need to kill them?"

"Hey, they're trying to kill me, I don't see what's so wrong!"

The doctor sighed as he charged and with a shout of "CLEAR!" caused a Devimon to pass out.

Zuko and Greymon stormed into the battle at last, both relatively optimistic about it. Greymon was in a particularly great mood, having convinced Azula to bake him some cookies. With all of the training time he'd had lately, Zuko released lightning from his fingertips. The task wasn't as effortless to him as it was to Azula, but he was getting there.

Ceasing his fire for a moment and letting Greymon take over with a few Mega Flame attacks, Zuko scanned the battlefield. Sokka, Toph and Aang were around here somewhere. Now to figure out a way to find them and not get maimed in the process. Zuko had been pretty lucky the past few months and he didn't want to get stuck in the hospital for what seemed like would be the millionth time.

Suddenly, out of the corner of his eye, Zuko saw a flash of spinning metal. A boomerang. He turned to watch what direction it was headed. He smirked, running back over to his partner in crime.

After finishing off one challenger, Greymon looked down at Zuko. The prince didn't need to say anything, Greymon got the message and helped Zuko up on his back.

"Head that way, "Zuko pointed, drawing his dual-swords, "Sokka's over there."

"DUM!"

The gun hand of Galgomon, rotating rapidly, green fire igniting, struck a Gesomon's face violently.

"DUM!"

Another punch, and the Gesomon reeled back.

"UPPER!"

One last uppercut straight into the Digimon's jaw sent it flying up before it exploded into data, a Digi-Egg quickly following it and clattering to the ground.

Galgomon landed squarely in front of Jenrya, smirking. "One down, a kajillion to-!" ...he paused. "Somehow, that feels wrong..."

Jen sighed, running a hand through his blue hair. "Take it easy, for now, Galgomon. All we can do is push ahead one at a time for the moment..."

Takeru looked on at the sea of demon digimon, his fairy sword held in his hand. Green digisoul surrounded his entire body and the weapon. The young boy slashed at any of them that came close while Angemon fired off Heaven's Knuckles at any of them from farther away.

Takeru looked around for Chika and the others of Unit 3, but didn't see her anywhere. Hopefully she was with Aquilamon and wasn't in trouble, but he probably couldn't afford to be distracted right now...

If only he could figure out how to evolve Angemon to Holy Angemon again...

"COME ON YOU WORTHLESS JERKS, WE'LL SHOW YOU HOW A REAL DEMON DIGIMON ACTS!" Yuka shouted from her perch on Devidramon's back. Being on her partner was the only way that Takeru and Angemon figured that they wouldn't end up killing him by mistake.

Of course, that meant that Yuka couldn't do much fighting herself.

But she'd still do what she could.

"Calm down a bit before we get attacked by everything!" Devidramon shouted before firing off a "Red Eye" attack at a nearby Boogeymon.

"I'm just making sure these Dark Area jerks know who beat them senseless," Yuka protested.

Will flew in the air, having Guardian upped before leaving Tetha, launching blasts of Quintessence and Flare at any demon digimon that came her way. "Make sure you don't hurt the Devidramon that's on our side, okay?" she asked.

Huggles, evolved into Wendimon, nodded as he charged and smacked a nearby Devimon into a tree, before firing off his Destroyed Voice at a larger group of demon digimon.

Will smiled, but knew that this was only the beginning.

A strain of an operatic song floated through the air, followed by a piercing howl. SangLoupmon burst through the mob, Diva riding astride him and waving her saber in the air, "Diva's going to have a lot of fun!"

She disappeared in a streak of blue light, high child-like laughter ringing out, and left alone SangLoupmon to take care of himself, "Sticker Blade!!"

An unexpected sight would be the young woman with long blue hair, clinging to the back of a Yashamon. "Ittouryoudan - Bisecting Sword!" twin wooden swords slashing through a few of the demon digimon, as Asakura let go of his back, tumbling to the ground.

Of course she didn't stay on the ground very long, as she's wearing her torn and bloody (from her fight with Naruto) DATS uniform which is the least unique thing about her right now... Both her hands white glowing blades as the Humanoid Interface dashes into the fray.

Jen and Galgomon observed the appearances of the two females from a... relatively safe distance as Galgomon filled an attacking Digimon with lead.

"Um... Jen-"

"Just... focus on the fight," Jen said, though the uniform the blue-haired girl wore... "...and stay on guard."
