Okay so I've spent the last week trying to figure out what the hell I'm doing with my life. I haven't been going to classes and I think it's because I just don't want to be there. I've been getting so stressed out and just not been able to motivate myself to do the work.  I'm not enjoying the work and it's making me not want to draw, which is not ( Read more... )

Hey hon, if you're not happy with the classes, then it'll be harder to be happy with the outcome. I say take the job with your dad's agency and maybe try another college down the line. It sounds like the classes you were taking just weren't right. No body gets it right the first time, unless it's dumb luck. As long as you go after what you want, you'll never be a failure. *hugs*

I'd say to take the offer your dad has for you, as it seems he could really teach you a lot and maybe has some contacts to help you in the field. It could be like a trial period - you can see if you really want to illustrate without committing lots of time/money into school. If it turns out you need to get the degree/certification/whatever, you'll know that it truly is something you want, and heck, you might have a job lined up that would help you pay for classes or whatever.
