OMG, I didn't realise they no longer sent notifications! I knew about b-days, but not new friends! So, after reading your post, I went to check and I've got three new friends I never noticed! *fumes* It's hard not to feel like an asshole, dammit! Thanks for this! :)

I unchecked and saved and re-checked it. Hopefully I'll receive notifications now. I know at least 3 people that I never got a notif for.

I haven't been getting friending notifications since... I actually don't know how long, but I figured it out back in September, when someone messaged me to introduce themselves after adding me and I was like... you what now? And then looked and saw that I'd been friended by several people and had no idea. In the last couple of months, LJ has also stopped giving me birthday notifications, and is now hit-and-miss with notifications if someone's mentioned me. I have no idea why or how to fix it

A while ago I was getting all the notifications in the sense that if some of my friends were getting virtual gifts, I was getting emailed about it every day ten times a day.

I think LJ has its priorities all over the place. OMG.
