Let me know if you need other okra prep ideas. Robert, being from Louisana and all, has quite a few different ways of using it, most of which I'll even eat and I detest the stuff.

Congrats on the sorta job! I do hope it turns into more for you, and don't worry, the check will clear. If not call me woman!
Glad the stitches are out dear, and maybe it's time to figure out which of those three local hospitals would have taken you :-p

My mom used to make stir-fried okra, which wasn't slimy. (Of course hers was the Southern version, stir-fried with a strip of bacon). I believe the trick is that if you stir-fry long enough, the sticky part caramelizes. Mom's always came out with crunchy brown spots that were surprisingly tasty.
