As one journey ends, another begins
As 2008 winds to a close I would like to wish all a happy new year. May you seek and gain all that you want and need. More importantly, may the two coincide. :)
As this year ends it is the literal renewing in my life. I am moving to Ventura. This weekend.

It's official. Evac Warning lifted as of 12:40p
I just got the word from the county site that they have redrawn the evac order and warning lines. The warning line has shrunk to what is essentiallly the borders of that which was the mandatory area a while ago. The mandatory has shrunk significantly ( Read more... ) -
Update. Sat Nov 15,2008 noon (ish)
The name of the game...is hurry up and wait. Which is a polite way of saying nothing has changed as far as warnings and alerts go. We are still under warning, everything above APS (1/4 mile away) is still under mandatory evac. I understand the whole no news is good news concept and how it applies in this situation but The county hasn't updated the ( Read more... ) -

For those keeping an eye.
The house is still here. we are still here.
To prevent opportunistic people from pillaging shit from the back of my pick up it has been emptied to the staging area in the garage where I normally park my bike. It can be reloaded and secured in well under 5 minutes.

For those following. Our residence is recommended evac not mandatory yet. Checked on Anneke's parents ...who while are still being silly in my opinion but they are at least watching the TV and keeping an eye on things ( Read more... ) -
