DeAnna's recovery had been something of a miracle. Doctors were scratching their heads at how quickly she recovered. Even Terrence was a bit concerned, wondering at times if she was going through a transformation herself ( Read more... )

Eion had no qualms about casting the spell in the living room and his reply to her choice was supportive. "Whatever is more comfortable for you." But he looked a little taken back when DeAnna stated that Eion was only helping her because of Terrence. To that remark, he shook his head. He tone of voice when he corrected her didn't show any anger; in fact he actually sounded a bit disappointed. "Even if you were a complete stranger, I would help you. We try to help anyone in trouble as best as we can, actually ( ... )

Terrence continued to rub DeAnna's stomach. If it was helping her feel more comfortable, he was going to keep do so.

"Well, hopefully it won't come to a fight. Personally, I don't like to fight unless I absolutely need to. Still, I can't see him say anything that will make me change how I feel about you. So no matter what he says, I'll just blow it off," he assured her.

He then added, "But, well, if he annoys me enough, my eyes might start glowing. Can't help that really. If I can angered, they glow. The more angry I am, the brighter the glow is. I'm sure that might make him say something..."

"I would love to see you set him on his ass." DeAnna mused with a slight smirk. "Your eyes would scare him that's for sure. Seeing that would be good too....He's such a dick." DeAnna stifled a yawn and curled closer to him. "M-sleepy T. I'm going to take a nap. You can watch whatever now."

She told him she loved him and drifted off to sleep. She didn't dream that she recalled but had a rejuvenative nap. When she awoke a couple of hours later her stomach growled and she groaned before opening her eyes and looking up at Terrence. "Hey." She said softly. "Miss me?"

"You think so? I guess I can look kinda scary fully angry with the glowing eyes and bared fangs," Terrence mused. When DeAnna began to drift off, he gave her a soft kiss on the cheek and told her he loved her too.

While DeAnna was asleep, Terrence continued to half watch the hockey game. He kept glancing back at DeAnna to see if she was all right. When she woke up, Terrence smiled at her until he heard her stomach growl. He was concerned when he replied, "Of course I missed you. How are you feeling now?"

“Obviously a little hungry.” She teased with a slight laugh. Her humor was genuine and it felt good to smile; blissfully normal. “I feel a bit sore all over but, otherwise? Pretty good actually.” She touched his face with a hand. “I can’t tell if I’m running a low grade fever but, I would love some soup if you have any.” She tried to sit up a little and instantly got dizzy. She grabbed on to him and lay back down silent until the room stopped spinning. “Okay maybe I could ask you to make the soup.” She said apologetically. “That was, that was really funky.” She wet her lips. “Sorry Babe, I guess you’ll have to play nurse maid just a little while longer today.”

"I don't mind at all." He kissed her forehead and noticed she was slightly warmer than before. "Maybe you do got a tiny temperature. You feel a bit warmer than before. But, just a little bit," he assured her.

"I can make you some soup. I don't mind being the nurse for tonight or a few nights, I swear. You just relax." Then he headed off to the kitchen.

A few minutes later, Terrence returned with a bowl of soup, a spoon and a tray table. The metal tray snapped on top of a folding set of table legs but could be removed to be a tray on its own. He put the bowl of soup and spoon on the nightstand for a moment and then asked, "Do you think you could sit up a little? Maybe I could add some pillows behind you to prop you up a little so you you can eat? I can put the tray on your lap in that case but if you're feeling ready to sit up now, I can setup the tray table next to the bed."

"No, it's alright T. I can sit up." With his help she slowly did so, her head adjusting to the movement. She felt a little like she had motion sickness but knew it would only be temporary. Already she felt better from how she had felt hours before when Eion had first healed her. Terrence stacked some more pillows behind her and soon she was happily eating her soup. "Thank you Baby. This is just what I needed." She said smiling at him tenderly.

"I'm going to have to call my parents later. Let them know I'm better. I can't tell you how much it means for me to be here with you and not having to be with them while I'm sick. It's not that I don't love them but, Daddy doesn't know everything and I would just be more guarded anyway. Here, I can just be myself and talk about what happened without having to feel like I need to censor anything."

Terrence returned the tender smile. "Glad you're feeling better."

He gave an understanding nod. "I can get that. But, you know, your mom might understand a bit. I mean, she does know about this stuff a little. But it would be good to check in with everyone just so they know you're doing better."

Terrence gave her a warm smile. "You can always be open around me. Don't worry. And, it's nice that I can be myself around you too." he then quickly added, "Mostly anyways, cuz...I don't think you wanna see the blood stuff."

After saying this, his speed of speech returned to normal. "But other than that, I just feel like I can be myself and don't have hide or be ashamed or anything like that. And I'm so grateful to have you in my life."

DeAnna took a bite of soup and once she had swallowed she took a visible breath and exhaled soundlessly. “You don’t have to hide that from me T. It’s necessary for you to consume blood to live. I know that. And while I’m not curious enough to ask you for a taste I…I don’t want you to feel like you have to hide that from me. I get it. Maybe, maybe you should have your dinner while I’m eating mine some night. I think with all we’ve been through lately, watching you eat is going to be an easy adjustment on my part.”

DeAnna reached out and touched his arm. “I appreciate that you’ve kept me shielded from it so far. I know it hasn’t been easy for you. But I don’t think it’s fair that you can watch me eat but you feel like you have to hide when you eat.” She smiled at him gently. “And yes, you’re right. I’ll need to talk to my parents and let them know I’m okay but right now I’m just happy to be with you. I feel better, but still crapy enough that I might say something I can’t take back with my Dad.”

Terrence gave a bit of a smile. "I appreciate that, really. But at the same time, I don't wanna turn your stomach either. Maybe...I dunno, you could watch when you're not trying to eat. I mean, you need your strength. I don't wanna set back your recovery or anything ( ... )

"I'll consider it." DeAnna assured him about their dining habits. She ate a few more bites of her soup as she listened to him.

"There's no need to be as deceptive as that. I'll just tell them the truth. I wanted to be with you. You make me feel safe and give me all the sympathy I can handle. They'll understand. If tables were turned they would want to be with one another and not with me. But thanks T. I just might have a talk with your witch friend regardless."

He gave a nod. "Okay."

"Well, whatever you think will be best. I just offered that in case there were any changes in you they may think were sudden. If you needed to explain that, talking to Ri might be a good idea. As for your family, they'll welcome to visit you here if you'd like. I can...just change the decor around a bit so the windows aren't all blocked up," Terrence offered.
