DeAnna's recovery had been something of a miracle. Doctors were scratching their heads at how quickly she recovered. Even Terrence was a bit concerned, wondering at times if she was going through a transformation herself

Terrence gave a bit of a smile. "I appreciate that, really. But at the same time, I don't wanna turn your stomach either. Maybe...I dunno, you could watch when you're not trying to eat. I mean, you need your strength. I don't wanna set back your recovery or anything."
He put his hand over hers. "It's actually been all right. I mean, it's not like I have to do it everyday so, yeah. But I do thank you though, for being open and being open to...seeing that."
After a little squeeze of her hand, he continued, "Whenever you're ready to talk to them is fine. Just as long as they know you're all right. Even if you have to fudge things a little when talking to your Dad. Maybe just say the doctor gave you something to make you feel better. And, if you need a doctor for your Dad to actually call, I know of someone who is pretty good at coming up with logical answers to supernatural situations. Then again, she's a witch with an MD. "I'll consider it." DeAnna assured him about their dining habits. She ate a few more bites of her soup as she listened to him.
"There's no need to be as deceptive as that. I'll just tell them the truth. I wanted to be with you. You make me feel safe and give me all the sympathy I can handle. They'll understand. If tables were turned they would want to be with one another and not with me. But thanks T. I just might have a talk with your witch friend regardless."
"Well, whatever you think will be best. I just offered that in case there were any changes in you they may think were sudden. If you needed to explain that, talking to Ri might be a good idea. As for your family, they'll welcome to visit you here if you'd like. I can...just change the decor around a bit so the windows aren't all blocked up," Terrence offered.
