A couple of years ago I heard that the University of Texas at Austin was looking for money to help restore their Gone with the Wind costumes (including the Curtain Dress). Dragon*Con Pics
I have 82 pictures up from Dragon*Con, including shots of me in all my costumes. I'm always so disappointed when I upload the pics from my camera because I probably take pictures of less than 1/10th of what I see that weekend. The Delta website says my luggage should be delivered to me tomorrow morning. I was really starting to miss my stuff! -
Arrived at Dragon*Con
and so did my luggage. We just didn't meet up at the airport. Claim has been filed, addresses given, I just hope that someone quickly realizes the suitcase full of 80s costumes isn't theirs.

One Last Costume
I still have to hem it tonight, and it didn't turn out as well as I hoped, but it's done.
There's a story behind this costume. In the movie Pretty in Pink Andie wears tons of layers and textures, loose fittings clothes, etc. throughout the movie, until the prom scene. Then she comes out in this simple pink dress, stripped of her layers and exposed. ( Read more... ) -

I have weird priorities. I didn't get my hair cut or styled for either of my sisters' weddings. But I got a hair cut and color for Dragon*Con. Go figure.

Costume #2 Done
The dress fits me better than the mannequin, as always. It's not perfect, but I've put together worse things. Wimple and crown aren't pictured, but I'm taking the easy way out and skipping the wig.
