I have let my LiveJournal lie fallow for a few months, probably longer than I ever have in the past. (I blame Twitter and Facebook, which lean towards the brief and immediate.) It sounds like I have missed a number of your developments in terms of life and death, work and lack thereof, projects and proposals. I apologize, and I'm gonna try once

sorry, but you must be really desperate to want to teach for Philly. You might want to look at some of the charter schools...they don't necessarily pay quite as well but Philly is a terrible place to work. (as you may or may not recall, my mother is a philly teacher. everyone she knows is beyond stressed out, even the younger teachers are taking sleeping pills!)
