[Finally. Finally, finally, finally-- It was finally happening! After all the years of waiting and hoping and trying to break the walls down to escape, the doorway home was finally open-- he could see his Yu again, Mouse, the Beansprout... he could drag the people he cared about home with him.
So in this here hallway, there's a somewhat old Lavi (mid thirties, roughly) on a goddamn mission. He has at least five different types of robots out, all with complex electronic remotes strapped to the Lavi's wrist, and he's currently in the middle of what seems to be a pep talk.]
Okay, guys! W've gotta lot've stuff ta pack and get ready t'go, yeah? Make sure you find plenty'a supplies to us to take back!
[Tyki with his hat pulled down over his eyes walks up behind Lavi in the hallway tapping the wall next to him with his cane to get the man's attention.]
[Lavi is quite the busy bee with the way he's instructing those robots about the place! So much so that he doesn't notice Tyki. Though thankfully, he does need to point a robot in that direction, and when he does he spots him. And while normally any Tyki would sour his mood (he never got over the relationship they had with his Kanda) it's pretty bad to put him in a bad one right now.]
[Allen comes up behind him with his hair longer and his penchant for thin clothing gone after all the years. Lavi managed to get him in clothes that would hold better in the other's home.]
I suppose it's a good thing I already packed my gear.
[Tyki is sitting on the upper railing of the grand staircase. The heels of his boots rest on some of the ornate loops and carving as he balances a cane across his knees. His head is tilted downward towards the commotion below him. People lifting heavy bags while coordinating the exits. He smiles at them and their optimism, a vitality in this place that was rare to find on certain days
( ... )
That depends entirely on how many of them suffer from amnesia when they go home, yeah. I'm assuming the vast majority of them will forget the Dressing Room.
And then everything will be fine. Back to normal... whatever that is.
[It's a little surprising she lasted ten more years with how she'd worn down her life (and she wasn't as healthy now as she used to be). But there she was, out of uniform but with Mugen on her hip. Sitting on a bench across from an open door in one of the Dressing Room hallways, watching it.
[Ten years. Ten, long years... nearly twelve in the Dressing Room as a whole. After so much time, it was hard to believe that the legacy of this place was finally coming to an end, that people were going home and might not ever come back. What would happen to this place, though? Even if people stayed, would it actually remain in tact? It seemed like the place fed off of the chaos in this place, and if only so many people stayed, would it really be alright?
...Honestly, Allen wasn't sure he cared. If the Dressing Room was suddenly finite, then it would just be like his own world. Dead whether he stayed or not... so if he wasn't leaving with anyone, he should probably stay, shouldn't he? It wasn't like he was any safer anywhere else. Just a weak little human, the same way he'd spent the past six years... so he'd might as well stay.]
[Placing a hand on Allen's shoulder, figuring that even without his vampire senses Allen would know who it was. Best friends forever, and they had been for over a decade now. They probably knew each other better than they knew themselves]
[So Lavi's a bit confused on why Allen looks so uncertain about his future]
[Of course he knows who it is. Being human didn't make him totally oblivious - okay, it did at first, and he still longed for a lot of the things he was a given as a vampire, but for the most part he'd... adjusted as well as could be expected. Allen turns his head back towards Lavi and smiles one of those small, easy smiles he'd picked up over the past few years, when it had finally settled in how long he'd been allowed to live.]
Where did you think you'd find me?
[His fingers curl in his scarf, the orange a bit faded from several years of wear.]
I thought I would find you chasing after a certain 11 year old red hair little terror of a child, trying to back her things while Ehan was putting the last touches on whatever Crow magic he was using to take the three of you home. I didn't expect to see you here... looking at the door all by yourself, yeah.
[Wraps his arms around Allen's waist, humming a bit and nosing at his temple]
[Lavi adjusts the orange scarf around his neck, whining to himself that it was too heavy and too itchy and mourning the loss of one birthday scarf that would not only draw suspicion back home, but probably not make the journey through space-time back to his own world. No, everything had to be perfect, just as it was before. So he had been very careful about preserving his first uniform in its entirety. The only additional possessions Lavi allowed himself was one silver promise ring from his girlfriend, one pendant from his best friend, and a notebook of 'How to Survive your Future' prepared by the Apprentice after much analysis of the state of the various inhabitants' home worlds]
[Now all Lavi had to do was say good-bye and walk through that door. Something he was dreading utterly, so finding every excuse to postpone it was his top priority]
[It's...weird to see Lavi with his orange scarf instead of his red one. Hell, it's weird to see the uniform he had worn for nearly eight years before they changed. Which, now that he thought about it, was...literally a lifetime ago.
Kanda doesn't wear an actual wedding band on his ringer. He's got one tattooed on, as suggested by Joyd and agreed upon by all three of them. He's still got on the ring given to him by Mattias, but only out of habit more than anything else.
[Flopping on top of Kanda's red beanbag which had someone managed survived a decade in the Dressing Room (unlike the poor poor golems that seemed to get wrecked on a regular basis)]
It's for the best, yeah. I did take 13 years of vacation. I should be thankful I'll even have a job when I get back.

Something like that. I wonder how many will be able to adjust back into the normal routine.
