[It's a little surprising she lasted ten more years with how she'd worn down her life (and she wasn't as healthy now as she used to be). But there she was, out of uniform but with Mugen on her hip. Sitting on a bench across from an open door in one of the Dressing Room hallways, watching it.
[He moves with her fluidly and with the ease of knowing someone intimately over the course of a decade. It probably comes as no surprise to her that he uses the movement to shift his arm and crouch down, scooping her up into his arms bridal style. He smiles at her folding as he brushing his nose against hers]
I was going to make sure that everyone who wanted to go made it out of here safely. And then, if there were no pressing reason to stay, I'd follow.
[To be honest, he figured that she would want to go home and finish up the war. At least get proper resolution to that chapter of her life]
Well, I do have a reason, but it'd be a very selfish one, yeah. My reasons to go home are much more compelling. I mean, who knows what will happen to the timeline now that the Dressing Room has opened up an exit to our home worlds. I've been away from my home long enough. Too long really. Gramps needs his Apprentice back.
If it hadn't from the day I stepped into the Dressing Room...? Well, that'd be a different story, yeah. That's thirteen years my world has gone on without me. Gramps is probably dead. The war is probably over. And I probably have been announced dead after being missing for so long.
But I don't think that has happened, yeah. Lenalee was here months before me, and I never noticed her missing in my world.
No, Love, what I'm worried about now is whatever spell the Management had on space and time and whatnot is broken forever. Like a giant clock that's been restarted. If I don't go home now, I might never get a chance to do so again.
A door that was supposed to take her home.]
