babysitting interviews!

They present quite the family picture, Puck and Lilly and the twins. The Goodfellow-Kane paterfamilias is lounging in an apparently gravity-defying yet graceful manner over the arm and back of the sofa upon which his fair lady languidly reclines. On the table before them sit a pair of baby baskets. Aria Moonshine Goodfellow-Kane is cooing gently in ( Read more... )

Tom and Door warned her that she might be a little bit on the young side to be a babysitter, but Ingress decided to come anyway.

She loves babies! She's also eight, and she knows how to take care of them. A little bit.

In any case, she's wearing her nicest dress (robes from Madame Malkan's) and her biggest smile.

"Hi."

This is her first interview. She's a little bit nervous.

Puck beams.

"Ingress! How delightful to see you, dearling. Have you come to interview?"

"I did!"

She takes folded papers out of the pocket that would hold a wand. "I wrote down a list of all the babies I know and have held or given a bottle. Oh, and I put their mommies or daddies names, too."

The list includes Princess Susan and Anthony, as well as a few others.

"Wow, Ingress."

Lilly smiles warmly at her.

"You're more prepared than I am. Plus I think you've probably held more kids."

Santi peeks in the doorway.

He doesn't have to open the door before doing so, either! So it's especially creepy quiet. The rest of the little boy comes through the wood and he approaches.

Lilly blinks.

"...okay, then. Are you here on a routine haunting or for the interview? I mean, assuming I'm not just drunk. Puck, you see the kid who just came through the door too, right?"

"Santi!" Puck exclaims with a grin. "Buenas noches, querido."

He shoots Lilly a slightly reproachful look.

"Of course I see him, darling. He is certainly no vision."

"Am dead sorry."

And very apologetic.

Matilda peers very dubiously in the door.

On seeing Puck and Lilly (mostly Lilly), she brightens considerably.

"Hallo," she says, and enters. "There was a sign?"

"Hey, Matilda!"

Lilly grins at her.

"Yeah, you saw that? We're hiring babysitters."

Matilda looks a little ... on the young side, to Puck. But whatever, right? Age ain't nothing but a number.

He waves cheerfully.

Considering the last two applicants were also under ten, it appears Matilda's in luck.

She waves back and grins back, respectively. "So I heard. Is there to be some form of interview, then?"

Momiji is just a little bit nervous. Not only is this his first trip to the nightclub (and the first time he's actually been aware of its existence), but it's also his first interview!

In short, he isn't quite sure what to expect. But, well, he's good with kids! And he knows a little bit about first-aid stuff from hanging out with Hatori so much! So this might work, if his curse doesn't get in the way!

In any case, nervousness doesn't stop him from prancing into the room with a wide smile on his face and a wide wave.

"Hi!"

Puck's eyes widen, just slightly.

(This is totally the problem with giving out different versions of your own name to different strangers.)

"... Hullo."

"Hey," Lilly adds.

They have now covered a range of typical greetings.

"You wave like Miss America, kid. I like your style. What's your name?"

"...Robin!" Momiji grins in surprise at Puck - he'd just met him, now long ago. And, come to think of it, the name "Goodfellow" had come up on the sign, but he hadn't put two and two together.

...He hadn't said he had kids! Maybe they'd look like him!

Once he's gotten over that little shock, though, he glances at Lilly.

"I'm Momiji. Momiji Sohma."

Valerie is a little dubious about the interviews being held in a nightclub, but, well. Milliways.

She blinks at the domestic scene when she comes in, then smiles.

"I take it this is the right place?"

"Absolutely," Puck assures her with a (somewhat toothy) grin. "Do have a seat."

"Not on the kids," Lilly adds.

"Anybody sits on the kids, we're probably not going to hire them."

"That makes sense," Valerie says with a laugh, pulling up a chair.

Aria gets a wave and a smile, too.
